Founded in 1994, Pomona Capital is  an innovative investment firm and seasoned secondaries investor with over $20 billion in aggregate capital commitments across our flagship funds, separately managed accounts and retail fund for individual investors. The firm’s 50+ professionals work from offices in New York, London and Hong Kong.

Get to Know the Opportunity: Candidate will have the opportunity to assume a financial position in a growing, global investment firm. The candidate will work with a group of several finance staff members and will have regular interaction with the CFO, the Director and the SVP of Accounting.  We are looking for a candidate with a desire to learn more about the private equity business who has experienced academic success, has a working knowledge of accounting and possess good written and oral communication skills. Ideal candidate will have 4-5 years accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or fund administration.

The Contributions You'll Make: • Support the VP’s of Accounting with day-to-day fund operations, including cash reconciliations and review of investment activities.

• Support the management of day-to-day financial accounting and administration for private equity secondary fund-of-funds.

• Work directly with third party administrator on day-to-day operations

• Initial review quarterly financial statements

• Initial review journal entries and cash reconciliations

• Maintain the books and record for the general partner entities

• Assist with preliminary audit preparation activities

• Assist with tax estimates and returns filings

• Provide reports and support to controller and general partners

• Conduct data reconciliations among accounting systems

• Assess, organize and maintain accounting records

• Provide general support to the accounting team as requested

 Minimum Knowledge & Experience: We are looking for a candidate with a desire to learn more about the private equity business who has experienced academic success, has a working knowledge of accounting and possess good written and oral communication skills. Ideal candidate will have 4-5 years accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or fund administration.

This person will support senior members of the team to run the accounting/finance for our flagship funds.  Excellent culture providing an opportunity for someone to work in-house at an established investment firm.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
