Position Summary The Senior Associate Director is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven, mid-career professional eager to contribute to a collaborative, strategic team. This role coaches and manages 1–3 prospect management staff members while spurring strategic pipeline movement by aligning data with action, and overseeing the effective, coordinated deployment of prospects and processes within Medical Advancement. The role concentrates on prospects with $25,000–$4,999,999 in giving capacity, across both Leadership Giving and Major Giving levels.

Core responsibilities include managing and developing relationships with fundraisers and their leadership; maintaining the integrity of prospect data; managing the grateful patient assignment process; driving portfolio construction and health; coordinating prospect movement between pipeline stages and capacity levels; preparing performance insights and trend analysis; spurring moves management; facilitating prospect strategy sessions; and advising frontline fundraisers and colleagues on prospect management best practices. Success in this role requires a strong customer-service orientation, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights for fundraisers and leadership.

As part of the Prospect Management team, this position supports unified, donor-centric fundraising strategies through close partnership with fundraisers and campus partners. The Senior Associate Director will work alongside another Senior Associate Director and report to the Senior Director of Prospect Management.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position based on campus, with an optional hybrid schedule.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with gift officers from one or more Medical Advancement teams to manage prospects effectively by developing fundraising strategies that move prospects through the fundraising cycle and ensure optimal distribution of prospective donors to fundraiser portfolios.

• Manage, coach, and mentor one to three Prospect Management Consultants.

• Provide critical support in management, maintenance, and integrity of prospect data.

• Liaise with prospect research team members as needed to deliver key information about managed prospects while building a broad and deep understanding of fundraising metrics to provide the information that supports the management of prospects through the development cycle.

• Serve as a key advisor to gift officers in the creation, implementation, and management of the prospect management policy and business processes. Ensure that the best prospects are actively managed by front line fundraisers.

• Regularly monitor fundraising activity/progress for continuity and compliance with the Prospect Management and Grateful Patient Guidelines. Provide analysis to advise leaders on fundraising performance and recommendations on cultivation and solicitation strategies and ask amounts.

• Serve as an advisor for the prospect management module development as part of the Advancement IT Project.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is located in St. Louis, MO and the targeted hiring range for this position is $65,900 - $88,000.

Salary Range $65,900.00 - $112,700.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
