Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Human Resources Department is seeking a Senior Analyst, Human Resources to support the Supply Chain organization in a blended Human Resources Business Advisor (HRBA) and Talent Development Business Advisor (TDBA) role.
Reporting to the HR Manager, this position partners with the designated HRBA to support a broader Supply Chain portfolio and leads TDBA activities across that portfolio—including talent review, succession planning, performance management, and career and leadership development.
This position is based in Plano, Texas. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.
What you’ll be doing HR Business Advisory • Provides day-to-day strategic HR consultation and building trusted relationships with functional leaders, senior managers, and executives.
• Partner with the designated HRBA to provide broader HRBA support across a larger Supply Chain portfolio, including team member relations, communication, HR programs, policies, and problem-resolution processes.
• Advise leaders on HR policies, compensation, benefits, performance management, team member relations, investigations, terminations, and organizational needs.
• Lead education, implementation, and follow-through for core HR programs, including Driving Performance, Pay for Performance (merit, growth, bonus, and spot awards/GEM), training, and development.
• Use workforce planning & analytics tools to assess current and future workforce needs, identify gaps, and build actionable workforce plans.
• Lead cross-functional HR initiatives; maintain accurate Workday staffing data; and safeguard confidential information.
Talent Development & Succession • Serve as the primary TDBA for the full portfolio supported by the HRBA, leading talent review, succession planning, performance management, career development, and leadership development activities.
• Develop and continuously improve career planning, coaching, assessment, diversity and inclusion, executive high-potential, and succession-planning programs, processes, and tools.
• Partner with functional leaders, academic and university partners, and other stakeholders to champion leadership and individual-contributor development programs.
• Lead cross-functional talent-development projects and evaluate program effectiveness to improve outcomes.
What you bring • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or equivalent professional work experience in Human Resources or a related field.
• Demonstrated human resources generalist experience.
• Knowledge of HR policies, employment law, team member relations, and investigations.
• Understanding of compensation practices, including internal salary administration, job evaluation, annual merit programs, and salary range adjustments.
• Understanding of talent management, talent development, performance management, talent review, succession planning, and workforce planning concepts.
• Experience administering company programs and leading HR or talent-development projects across multiple functions and/or business units.
• Strong partnership, relationship-building, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, listening, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, geographically dispersed corporate environment with a strong internal and external customer focus.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%, sometimes on short notice, for Supply Chain site support.
Added bonus if you have • Experience with Workday HRIS.
• HR Business Advisor experience.
• Toyota, NAMC, Supply Chain, Production Engineering, or other manufacturing experience.
• Experience partnering with executive-level business leaders.
• Experience supporting or administering talent development, talent review, and succession-planning activities.
