• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and fixed asset schedule maintenance.

• Assist with managing grant accounting, including allocations, billings, releases, drawdowns, and budget tracking; support grant and year-end audits.

• Prepare compliance reporting for external parties, including city and WA state tax filings.

• Assist with accounts payable, expense allocation, and monthly purchase card reporting, including coding and approval review.

• Prepare reports for management financial analysis and support the yearly indirect cost calculation and 990 preparation.

• Identify process improvement opportunities and work with management to implement them.

What You’ll Need:

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, plus 4+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.

• Experience with accounting software/systems.

• Ability to communicate professionally with limited supervision, both written and oral.

• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.

Preferred

• Experience with Sage Intacct.

• Experience managing and accounting for federal grants.

• Experience working with 501c3 organizations.

• Intermediate to advanced Excel; general MS Office proficiency.

• CPA or comparable certification.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
