Position Summary Don’t miss the opportunity to join our team with WashU Department of Urologic Surgery!
We have approximately 14 providers who see patients at this location. We have 3-6 providers in the office each day. Our staff is comprised of RNs, LPNs and MAs. We are a close group that works as one team regardless of job title.
Our providers typically see 16-24 patients per day. We see adults of all ages. Our population consists of patients who are surgical and/or procedural with a condition that is urological in nature. The RN role is multifaceted with a heavy emphasis on in-office procedures. This role also includes assisting providers with patient care, pre-op education, and diagnostic testing.
Our clinical team rotates positions each day, some days working with a provider, some days seeing patients. This job is fully clinical. There is no back-office work involved. No calling patients, no pre-certs, no scheduling, etc.
This position is Monday- Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, no weekends or holidays!
Position provides direct patient care and education for patients receiving treatments, examinations, surgeries, etc., in a medical office according to established procedures.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care. • Provides patient care, which may include administering medication, performing procedures and monitoring patient status in accordance with approved nursing practice. • Provides appropriate counsel and education to patients/families regarding disease process and symptom management. • Maintains medical records requiring appropriate and timely recording of patient information. • Consults with members of the health care team, adjusting nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Assists the health care provider with examinations, procedures, prescription refills and other processes related to direct patient care. • Maintains required skills and competencies and participates in educational programs, staff meetings and in services such as CPR as required. • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Education: Associate degree - Nursing Certifications /Professional Licenses : The list below may include all acceptable certifications, professional licenses and issuers. More than one credential, certification or professional license may be required depending on the role.
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Registered Nurse - Missouri Division of Professional Registration Work Experience: No specific work experience is required for this position. Skills: Not Applicable Driver's License: A driver's license is not required for this position.
More About This Job Required Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited nursing program. • Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with Compact Act. • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Salary Range $60,000.00 - $99,900.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
