Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a senior RF Design Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering Capability Team in Huntsville, AL.  We design, sustain, and upgrade next generation electronics concepts, and support analog and digital circuit card assembly ( CCA ) design.

Position Responsibilities: • Translate electrical requirements into system and hardware architectures, detailed interface specifications, and build/test plans. • Create and release engineering drawings, schematics, and PCB layouts to support fabrication and integration. • Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and troubleshooting using tools such as PSpice , LTSpice , Simplis , or equivalent. • Develop and execute verification and validation tests in the lab using oscilloscope s, DMM s, spectrum analyzer s, power supplies , and other test equipment ; analyze results and iterate designs. • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and components; make recommendations for design improvements and technology investments to meet program needs. • Produce clear technical documentation, design reviews, and test reports to support program milestones and compliance requirements. • Collaborate with manufacturing, reliability, and sustainment teams to ensure producibility, testability, and maintainability of designs. • Support configuration management and change control activities; ensure designs meet applicable standards and requirements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) : • An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. • 5+ years of related work experience. • Experience with RF measurements and performing RF gain, accuracy, and repeatability signal budget analysis for complex RF systems.  RF measurements include amplifier performance, intermodulation distortion, phase noise, spurious measurement test techniques, and group delay. • Electronics design experience. • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) : • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering. • Years of related experience: 5+ for levels 4 or 5. • RF design experience. • Circuit design, integrated circuit design, analog circuit design, mixed-signal IC Design. • SME of electrical design with proven previous design experience. • Hands-on experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscope, multimeter, DMM, spectrum analyzer, power supply, … • Simulation software experience such as MATLAB, PSpice , LTSpice , Simplis , or similar. • Schematic capture, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design experience with Altium, Mentor Graphics Siemens, or other drafting CAD tools. • Active Security Clearance.

Typical Education /Experience: Senior (level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Senior (level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay ranges: Senior (level 4): 136,850 – 185,150 Senior (level 5): 164,900 – 223,100
