Retail Alterations Specialist (Full-time or Part-time)

About this role

Position Overview:   Starting salary : $17.50 / hour

Key Responsibilities : • Sew hem of pants with industrial sewing machine • Trim excess threads using scissors • Measure, cut and sew hems following seams, edges, or markings on pants • Alter pants hemlines to fit individual customers • Working knowledge of sewing machines such as lock stitch, blind stitch, and serge machines * Support the sales floor as needed to provide excellent customer service and maintain tidiness of displays

Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED • At least six (6) months prior sewing/ fitting experience in an alterations or tailoring department • Maintain specified productivity guidelines • Strong communication skills, fluency in English mandatory • Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends
