RESPONSIBILITIES The Engineering Manager forms part of the Residential Leadership team and supports the HUB Director of Engineering with the daily operation and maintenance of the residential property. This role combines hands-on facilities management with supervisory responsibilities, including team leadership, vendor coordination, budget oversight, and resident service support. The Engineering Manager helps ensure building systems operate efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service, and resident satisfaction. TASKS Serve as the on-site lead for daily building operations, managing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire and life safety systems, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance, while leveraging HUB support, guidance, and resources to optimize performance and efficiency.

Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner. Participate in routine inspections and walkthroughs of common areas and residential spaces to identify maintenance needs and support preventative maintenance efforts. Coordinate and track work orders through the Service Request Management system, ensuring timely completion and follow-up. Scheduling maintenance work and coordinating with third-party vendors and contractors. Maintain records related to maintenance activities, equipment, inspections, and preventative maintenance schedules. Support the upkeep of building equipment inventories, maintenance logs, and asset records. Monitor utility readings and report unusual consumption patterns or operational concerns. Assist with maintaining compliance with life safety, fire safety, and building operating standards. Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives throughout the property. Communicate professionally with residents, homeowners, vendors, and internal departments regarding maintenance activities and service requests.
