Position Information We are seeking a Research Scientist, who under general supervision, designs, performs, and analyzes experiments. Mentors students on analyzing and preparing data results.
Job Responsibilities: • Will be responsible for conducting complex independent research into their field of expertise. • Utilizes advanced knowledge and skills granted to them by their education and experience to complete research projects in their field of expertise. • Analyzes research data and summarizes results. • Writes and may contribute to research papers, articles, and publications. • Assists with grant acquisition. • May assist student researchers, Postdoctoral Research Associates, Assistant Research Scientists, and/or Associate Research Scientists who are working on research related to the project. • May supervise assigned staff and/or students. • Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience • PhD in Agricultural Economics or related field • Six years of related experience in Conflict and Development
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Excellent written and verbal skills • Must be able to work independently as part of a multidisciplinary collaborative team • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others • Analytical skills
