Job Summary Summary: Responsible for managing medium to large-scale projects within an assigned functional area or across multiple entities. Takes ownership of the project lifecycle overall by guiding teams and staff, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and monitoring progress toward project goals. Ensures that the project is completed successfully and provides support to team members and stakeholders as they complete essential tasks.
Essential Functions:-Develops comprehensive project plans, monitors, and manages projects from initiation through completion. -Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes. -Manages projects to ensure on-time completion, within specifications, and within budget. -Communicates regularly on project status with project stakeholders. -Owns project plans for medium to large-scale projects. -Provides guidance to project coordinators. -Identifies potential risks early, analyzes the possible impact, and develops mitigation strategies. Qualifications
Education Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
Experience Project management experience 2-3 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute projects effectively. - Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines and experiences. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Proficiency in project management software. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The Medical Practice Evaluation Center (MPEC) within the Mongan Institute is seeking an intellectually curious and highly organized individual with supervisory experience to serve as a Research Program and Project Manager with a focus on a Dr. Aima Ahonkhai’s multidisciplinary portfolio of domestic and global studies focused on health equity, community-engaged intervention development, implementation science, to improve care for people living with or at risk for HIV.

Responsibilities • Manage multiple research projects and programs, ensuring timely execution of study activities and deliverables. • Partner with investigators and leadership to support strategic planning, program development, and operational excellence. • Supervise, mentor, and support research staff, including onboarding, training, and performance development. • Oversee study operations, regulatory compliance, project tracking, and research administration activities. • Support grant development and the preparation of scientific, programmatic, and funder-facing deliverables. • Represent the program in meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
Preferences • 3+ years of experience in research, healthcare, public health, or a related field. • Experience managing complex projects, timelines, and cross-functional teams. • Experience working with community partners and diverse stakeholders. • Master’s degree • Experience with grant administration and research operations. • Experience supervising or mentoring staff. • Background in public health, clinical research, epidemiology, or health outcomes research. • Familiarity with REDCap and statistical software (R, SAS, or Stata).
