About this role
Role Summary The Regulatory Remediation Specialist is a Vice President–level individual contributor within the Risk & Governance organization. This role has end-to-end responsibility over high-visibility documentation, including design and closure memos, that support risk decisions, control outcomes, and remediation closure. The role partners closely with Global Cybersecurity (GCS) and Global Technologies Services (GTS) senior subject matter experts to translate complex technical and governance content into clear, defensible written deliverables suitable for senior management, audit, and regulatory audiences.
At the VP level, success is defined by independent ownership, expansive domain knowledge, sound judgment in ambiguous situations, and the ability to influence outcomes—driving clarity, alignment, and delivery through credibility, structured thinking, and strong communication. Key Responsibilities • Serve as a lead writer for design and closure memos and thought partner, shaping document structure, narrative, and messaging for senior management, audit, and regulatory review. • Translate complex cybersecurity, technology, and risk concepts into clear, concise, and well-structured written materials. • Independently manage multiple concurrent initiatives, prioritizing work and resolving conflicts with minimal oversight. • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or ambiguities in source material and proactively work with SMEs to resolve them. • Navigate shifting priorities and evolving requirements, pivoting approach as needed while maintaining delivery momentum. • Build trusted relationships with senior SMEs and stakeholders across Risk, Technology, GTS, and GCS. • Act as a standard-bearer for documentation quality, consistency, and clarity across the Risk & Governance portfolio.
VP-Level Skills • Independent Execution and Ownership – Operates effectively with limited guidance, defining approach, sequencing, and priorities to drive work through to completion. • Judgement and Comfort with Ambiguity – Demonstrates sound judgement navigating incomplete information, competing priorities, and evolving regulatory expectations. • Strategic Framing and Structuring – Skilled in shaping and sequencing regulatory documentation and narratives to support clear decision making and regulatory outcomes. • Influence Without Authority – Influences stakeholders and outcomes through subject-matter expertise, credibility, and professional presence rather than formal reporting lines. • Outcome-Focused Delivery – Maintains momentum and accountability, ensuring remediation activities progress from analysis to closure, navigating ambiguity and impediments.
Required Qualifications • Experience as a Regulatory Remediation Specialist supporting technology, cybersecurity, risk, or governance functions. • Demonstrated success operating as a senior individual contributor in complex, regulated environments. • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to rapidly ramp up on new systems, controls, and risk topics. • Exceptional written communication skills with experience writing for senior and control-oriented audiences. • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams concurrently. • Strong organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience • Familiarity with cybersecurity, technology risk, or governance frameworks. • Experience supporting documentation reviewed by audit, regulators, or senior risk committees.
