Role Scope:

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors, participants, caregivers, employees, and guests. This role manages front desk operations, including greeting guests, answering and directing phone calls, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, coordinating access to the facility, and providing general administrative support to help ensure the center runs smoothly.

This is a Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm at our Sacramento PACE Center located at 855 Howe Ave, Sacramento, CA 95825.

Core Responsibilities & Expectations for the Role

• Contribute to a center experience that participants want to spend time in, a team culture that cares and creates joy, and an environment where all participants and team members belong.

• Greet and welcome visitors in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner while maintaining a clean, organized, and presentable front desk area.

• Monitor and control access to the facility, including signing in guests, issuing visitor badges, and communicating visitor arrivals to appropriate team members.

• Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate staff members, handle general inquiries, and provide accurate information to callers and visitors.

• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, courier services, and general front desk correspondence.

• Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, conference rooms, and center activities as needed.

• Provide clerical and administrative support, including data entry, filing, document preparation, and office supply inventory management.

• Address visitor, client, or participant concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the appropriate person when needed.

• Coordinate with internal departments to support smooth daily operations, meetings, events, and other center-based activities.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or experience in office administration or a related field is a plus.

• Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk representative, administrative assistant, or similar role.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer service-oriented approach.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail and follow-through.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and comfort using standard office equipment.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in an onsite center environment.

Nice to have:

• Bilingual Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese language skills.

• State-issued driver’s license, personal transportation, and auto insurance as required by law.

Essential Functions & Physical Requirements

Team members in this role may be expected to:

• Work in a healthcare and administrative center environment.

• Communicate effectively with participants, caregivers, visitors, team members, and other stakeholders in person, by phone, and through electronic systems.

• Remain stationary and/or move about for extended periods, consistent with front desk and administrative responsibilities.

• Operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, scanners, and documentation systems.

• Follow safety procedures, infection control protocols, and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

• Perform administrative tasks that may involve sitting for extended periods, bending, reaching, filing, and occasional lifting of office supplies up to 10 pounds.

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $21.00-$25.00 p er hour. This position is also eligible for annual bonus and may be eligible for additional incentive compensation, as applicable.

The final compensation offered will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, education, certifications, geographical location, and business needs.
