JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY: Andersen Corporation is seeking a self-motivated RDI 2nd Shift Supervisor I to support an energetic technical testing team in Research, Development & Innovation (RDI). This is for a second shift Monday – Thursday position (2:00 pm – 12:00 am). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Coach, train, support, and develop a team of flexible, multi-skilled testing technicians in accordance with Andersen Corporation’s values, employee covenant, and strategic direction; maintain a respectful work environment. · Support and implement new, customer-focused processes in accordance with lean principles and practices. Provide training and coaching to improve standard work, work center organization (5S), and housekeeping. Actively provide change leadership as required. · Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging direct reports to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation. · Support associates in understanding company policies and practices. Take notice of process related problems and support associates in taking corrective action to improve the overall performance of the team; maintain time and production records · Communicate with and listen to associates on a daily basis regarding work team performance, strategic initiatives, policy changes, safety, quality, etc. · Communicate with other leaders and appropriate personnel regarding equipment, safety, testing schedules, company policies and practices, performance improvement plans, etc. · Ensure the test wall testing meets planned output while following RDI standards. Identify issues, engage the support teams in process or problem resolution and escalate appropriate issues to the Tier team. Partner with Project Leaders & Engineers. · Facilitate training and development of RDI employees, providing clear expectations of performance, testing standards, and safety. Provide coaching and feedback. · Coordinate movement of employees to meet business needs. · Focus on improving business metrics by leading and supporting improvement projects and initiatives. Maintain visual management tools (PVA, run charts, CI boards, and Tier boards) to drive continuous improvement and employee engagement. Participate in problem solving using AMS tools and methodology (5 Why, PDCA, MCA). · Demonstrate leadership in communications, conflict resolution, process constraints and problem solving. Lead and effectively communicate at daily Tier meetings to encourage employee participation and engagement. · Provide support for other testing areas as needed, including project support, leader coverage, and material handling responsibilities. · Participate and complete corrective actions from the MCA process. · Follow and consistently enforce all safety procedures according to standards. Proactively address safety concerns and act or follow up when appropriate. · Provide status updates on testing work requests to Leaders and Engineers referencing work request logs and e-mails.
Qualifications - Internal • 3 – 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing/warehouse operation • Demonstrated ability to work with and motivate people • Demonstrated experience implementing continuous improvements • Previous experience in a manufacturing operation with demonstrated ability to acquire and apply manufacturing principles a plus • Continuing education in the following areas: Management, Human Resources, Accounting, Manufacturing, Leadership, and Coaching • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred • Lean certification • Computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, LabVIEW). • Ability to work flexible hours if testing needs require it (occasional). • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and assist with written documentation.

PAY RANGE: $78,824.00 - $122,176.00
