Job Description:
The Quality Technician helps ensure that highly complex RF modules manufactured in our cleanrooms meet our stringent requirements along with our customer’s expectations. This is accomplished by inspecting products for conformance, performing first article inspections, supporting customer source inspections, and writing reports based on documented production results. The quality technician will also help in training staff to recognize defects and imperfections at all stages of the manufacturing process, not limited to MMIC, component, and/or assembly issues. The candidate will be required to have regular interaction with senior staff both internally and externally and will support cross-functional interaction particularly on customer related projects.
The work assignments will include several of the following operations: • Act as a mentor and/or leader to junior members of the staff • Review incoming inspection data as needed to work containment activity • Perform module assembly documentation review • Prepare modules for Customer Source inspection (CSI) and present modules to CSI for onsite acceptance • Resolves daily issues by participating and/or leading MRB • Investigates MRB systemic issues by working to root cause analysis • Help to identify the causes of common types of mistakes or defects • Collect, analyze, and report on product conformance/quality issues and convey results to staff • Performs failure analysis utilizing X-Ray, Keyence VHX vision system and EA-300 elemental analysis • Development of Inspection Guides and Visual Aids
Familiarity with the following MIL-STDs and IPC Standards:
• Printed Circuit Inspection to IPC-A-600 • Printed Circuit Assembly Solder inspection to IPC-A-610 • Low & High-Power Visual Inspection of MMICs to MIL-STD-883, Method 2010 • Hybrid Internal Visual Inspection to MIL-STD-883, Method 2017 • Package Inspection to MIL-STD-883, Method 2009 • First Article (FAI) experience to AS9102
Minimum Competency Requirements:
• Must be a US Citizen - Security clearance required • Associate of Science degree preferred, but not required and 3+ years’ experience. • ESD Control, and familiarity handling ESD sensitive components • Ability to accurately read and interpret prints / mechanical drawings • Attention to detail • Ability to problem solve and pose solutions to manufacturing issues • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, while still meeting high quality standards • Promote a safe work environment

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $35 to $48. • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location , experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
