• This position pays between $76,300.00 - $95,375.00 based on experience
The Supervisor, Revenue Cycle Quality Assurance provides first-line people and operational leadership for an assigned quality assurance team. The role coordinates quality-review activities across varied revenue cycle operating environments, reinforces established review standards, monitors the accuracy and consistency of reviews, and develops team capability through coaching, mentoring, and training.
The position evaluates review methods, analyzes findings and recurring trends, identifies quality and operational risks, and prepares clear reports and recommendations for operational leaders. The role partners with stakeholders to understand workflows, support review planning, document quality practices, and coordinate practical corrective or preventive actions within assigned authority.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and develop assigned Quality Assurance team members to strengthen review judgment, accuracy, consistency, documentation, and performance.
• Coordinate and oversee quality-review activities across assigned revenue cycle operations and varied operating environments.
• Reinforce established quality standards, review criteria, scoring practices, documentation expectations, and escalation pathways.
• Monitor review accuracy, completion, consistency, and team performance and address identified capability or execution gaps.
• Evaluate quality-review methods and recommend practical improvements to efficiency, effectiveness, reliability, and compliance with established requirements.
• Analyze quality findings, recurring defects, operational trends, and risk themes and translate results into clear recommendations.
• Partner with operational leaders to validate findings, understand workflow context, and identify corrective and preventive actions.
• Support development and execution of periodic quality-review plans for the assigned scope.
• Document relevant review processes, standards, and methods to promote consistent execution and auditability.
• Coordinate assigned quality initiatives and monitor follow-through on agreed actions that mitigate operational or quality risks.
• Prepare and present quality reports, trends, risks, and recommendations to appropriate stakeholders and leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of quality assurance principles, review methods, sampling concepts, scoring consistency, quality standards, and corrective-action practices.
• Understanding of revenue cycle operational workflows and the relationship between process execution, quality risk, and operational outcomes.
• Ability to evaluate review methods, identify patterns and root causes, distinguish isolated errors from systemic issues, and develop practical recommendations.
• Ability to interpret quality data and communicate findings, trends, risks, and actions accurately and clearly.
• First-line people leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, training, work guidance, performance feedback, and team capability development.
• Ability to partner with operational stakeholders, resolve review inconsistencies, and escalate material issues through appropriate channels .
• Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple operational contexts and with standard quality, workflow, reporting, and business technology tools.
Required Qualifications
• Experience performing or supporting quality assurance, quality review, operational audit, or comparable control activities.
• Experience analyzing findings, trends, risks, or performance results and communicating actionable recommendations.
• Experience coaching, training, guiding, or developing team members.
• Demonstrated ability to understand operational workflows and apply review standards consistently.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capability.
• Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and the management of teams using AI to lean in to process and technological improvements, to include the exploration, experimentation, and application of AI.
• This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations or a comparable regulated service environment.
