A Brief Summary of This Position:

This individual contributor position is responsible for site security and safety, medical emergencies, and monitoring remote sites. These functions are to be performed with a continual sense of company policy and liability. The incumbent must be able to maintain confidentiality. It is especially important that the incumbent demonstrate the ability to work effectively with the various staff and third-party individuals which they will interact with during their duties.

Essential Functions:

· Must work a complex rotating shift, 48 hours one week and 36 hours the following; ensuring 24/7 operational coverage of two Officers per shift. · Provides advanced emergency medical response, including CPR, First Aid, and AED services, acting as a first responder in potentially life-threatening situations until external medical personnel arrive. · Serves as a primary point of contact and trusted resource for employees, contractors, visitors, and external partners, delivering accurate guidance on safety, security, and emergency procedures. · Demonstrates uncompromising integrity and professionalism, exercising discretion when handling sensitive information, investigations, and security-related incidents. · Applies critical thinking and independent judgment in high-pressure situations, including emergencies, security threats, and medical incidents, ensuring alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices. · Monitors, analyzes, and responds to activity across integrated security systems, including CCTV, access control, fire/life safety systems, and remote monitoring platforms across multiple sites in North America. · Performs real-time threat assessment and incident prioritization, initiating appropriate response protocols, escalating as needed, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external agencies (law enforcement, EMS, fire). · Evaluates and responds to medical service calls in accordance with Nebraska State regulations and Departmental protocols, requiring ongoing certification, training, and compliance with evolving standards. · Maintains operational readiness through continuous training, preparation, and drills; including emergency response, de-escalation techniques, situational awareness, and regulatory updates. · Performs and/or supports incident documentation and reporting. · Exercises authority in enforcing company policies and access control procedures, ensuring protection of personnel, assets, and information. · Provides remote oversight of multiple locations, increasing the scope beyond a single-site security function to a regional operational role. · Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.

Other Important Details about the Role:

· The Security duties require self-motivation and relentless dedication to confidentiality. · Demonstrate an ability to act on situations with respect to Valmont’s policies and goals. · Observes, questions, reports and acts on possible improprieties that may occur. · Acts swiftly and confidently in emergency settings to gain control and minimize, if not prevent injury, or loss of life. Monitors property and equipment and reports abnormalities or concerns according to defined protocols. · Demonstrates excellent judgment in dealing with questions, problems, and situations requiring direction to solutions and services. On many occasions the incumbent will temporarily be the company representative with customers and visitors. The incumbent will be expected to direct problems and inquiries to the proper Valmont contacts for resolution. · EMT certification required within 1 year after hire date.

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate:

· High School diploma and 2+ years of related work/educational experience as determined by Valmont Industries, Inc. · Knowledge in the following areas: basic law, physical security methods, site access control, confidential information control, theft control and investigation, incident investigation, high security lock repair-installation, alarm monitoring and systems, safety procedures and policies, and fire protection methods and systems. · Must have and maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license. · Knowledge of emergency first aid and rescue, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation methods · Professional conduct is necessary. · Annual training review of the facilities hazardous waste management program. · Must have the ability to learn and recognize safe and un-safe operating conditions. This may include, but is not limited to, boiler systems, key production equipment, gas storage, and hazardous waste storage.

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:

· Certifications CPP or PSO · Prior experience in a security role · Valid EMT or EMR state or national license

Working Environment and Physical Efforts:

Incumbent will be working at the Valley, Nebraska facilities. The Valley campus is approximately 400 acres and 50 buildings, and the incumbent will spend a large portion of his/her time outside and in the manufacturing areas.
