Summary of Job Duties: The Property Accounting Tagging Specialist will be responsible for tagging university equipment in the various buildings on the University of Arkansas campus.
Responsibilities: • Tagging University Equipment using the University of Arkansas barcode tags • Using a handheld scanner in buildings on campus • Writing and verbally communicating with various individuals on campus • Assisting with other duties as assigned by Property Accounting Staff
This position is Governed by State and Federal law and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive on campus attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience communicating successfully with stakeholders at various levels of an organization through personal face-to-face contact, email, and telephone contact
• Must be able to stand, squat, lift, bend and walk for long periods throughout the day to tag equipment as a regular part of daily operations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Knowledge of filing and record-keeping procedures
• Ability to record data to generate reports and documents
• Ability to interpret department policies and procedures
