ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead Crusoe Spark deployments and capacity expansion projects within our Cloud Deployment Operations team.
This role is responsible for driving the end-to-end planning and execution of new Spark infrastructure deployments as well as capacity expansions within existing Crusoe data center environments. Projects will span early planning and site readiness through infrastructure delivery, hardware deployment, validation, and operational handoff.
As the Project Manager, you will serve as the central point of coordination across engineering, construction, site operations, procurement, logistics, vendors, and cloud infrastructure teams. You will own integrated project plans, manage dependencies and critical milestones, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure teams remain aligned to deliver new and expanded capacity safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This role requires a strong project leader who can manage multiple deployments and capacity expansions in parallel, translate technical dependencies into actionable project plans, and drive cross-functional teams toward clear milestones and customer readiness dates.
WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON
- End-to-End Deployment Ownership: Lead Crusoe deployment projects from kickoff and planning through site readiness, infrastructure deployment, validation, and operational handoff.
- Capacity Expansion Ownership: Lead infrastructure capacity expansion projects within existing Crusoe data centers to support increasing customer and platform demand. Coordinate the addition of compute, GPU, storage, networking, and supporting infrastructure while minimizing impact to existing production environments.
- Integrated Project Planning: Build and maintain comprehensive project schedules covering design, construction, procurement, logistics, network readiness, hardware deployment, commissioning, validation, and customer readiness.
- Site & Infrastructure Readiness: Coordinate with construction, facilities, engineering, Site Operations, and deployment teams to ensure sites and data halls are ready for new Spark deployments and capacity expansions.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Drive alignment across Cloud Deployment Operations, Digital Infrastructure Group (DIG), Network Engineering, Site Operations, Fleet/SRE, Compute, Storage, Procurement, Logistics, Product, and other supporting organizations.
- Dependency & Critical Path Management: Identify cross-functional dependencies and critical-path activities and ensure owners, required dates, and handoffs are clearly established.
- Hardware & Infrastructure Readiness: Coordinate procurement, delivery, and readiness of GPUs, servers, networking equipment, storage, cabling, power infrastructure, optics, licenses, and ancillary equipment required for deployments and expansions.
- Deployment Sequencing: Coordinate installation and deployment sequencing across data halls and existing production environments to maximize available capacity while minimizing operational risk.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate external vendors and partners, ensuring scope, schedules, deliverables, site access, and completion criteria align with overall deployment plans.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify schedule risks, blockers, resource constraints, hardware lead times, infrastructure limitations, and technical dependencies. Drive mitigation plans and escalation paths to protect key milestones.
- Milestone & Handoff Management: Provide clear phase milestones and handoff criteria, ensuring effective transitions.
- Stakeholder Communication & Project Reporting: Provide clear and consistent project updates covering progress, upcoming milestones, risks, decisions, dependencies, and required actions.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to and continuously improve repeatable project management processes, schedules, documentation, reporting, and deployment playbooks that enable Crusoe to deploy and expand infrastructure more efficiently at scale.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM
- Experience: 5+ years of technical project or program management experience supporting data centers, cloud infrastructure, construction, hardware deployments, capacity expansion, or other large-scale technical infrastructure programs.
- Project Leadership: Demonstrated ability to own complex, cross-functional projects from planning through execution and operational handoff.
- Data Center Knowledge: Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and deployment concepts, including power, cooling, networking, structured cabling, servers, storage, GPU infrastructure, commissioning, and operational readiness.
- Capacity Planning & Expansion: Experience coordinating infrastructure
