Position Overview Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Project Engineer, NA to support construction activities across active data center development projects in the Port Washington, WI market. This role plays a key part in coordinating project documentation, managing submittals and RFIs, supporting contractor and vendor execution, and assisting with financial, commissioning, and closeout activities. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and experienced supporting construction projects within a fast‑paced, technically complex environment.

This position is based on-site in Port Washington, WI

Essential Job Functions Project Coordination and Construction Support: • Support management of individual tasks throughout the construction process, including submittal and RFI processing, change management, and safety reporting.

• Coordinate and document Vantage‑led meetings, record meeting minutes, and assist in driving action items to closure.

• Facilitate internal coordination for project document reviews, cost exercises, contract issuances, and design changes.

• Assist the Construction Manager and Senior Project Engineer with monthly financial updates and forecasts.

• Support contractor billing by reviewing pay applications for accuracy and coordinating with the Vantage CCF team.

• Track and assist in the review of change orders for scope accuracy and cost validation.

• Input purchase order requests in the financial system and assist with distribution to vendors.

Field, Vendor, and Operations Coordination: • Track OFCI equipment release, delivery, deficiencies, and support startup and commissioning activities.

• Assist in managing day‑to‑day contractor and design team coordination under the direction of senior project staff.

• Work closely with Operations to coordinate ongoing construction activities and support development and tracking of MOPs for work in live environments.

• Coordinate with Vantage vendors (e.g., signage, furniture, controls) to support successful execution of assigned scopes.

• Participate in the Vantage safety program by conducting and reporting on HRA site walks in collaboration with site leadership.

Documentation, Compliance, and Closeout: • Ensure project compliance with Vantage document control standards and file management protocols.

• Maintain organized internal project file storage and accurate document control practices.

• Assist in administering project closeout procedures and assembling turnover documentation.

• Support internal and external project closeout requirements.

• Assist in tracking campus and site permits, updating permit bond records, and coordinating with local authorities as required.

Commissioning Support: • Provide project commissioning support through coordination with the Commissioning Agent.

• Assist in commissioning script reviews and support commissioning activities through project completion.

Additional Duties: • Perform additional duties as assigned by project management.

Job Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 1–3 years of experience supporting construction projects of increasing complexity in a Project Engineer or similar role.

• Data center construction experience preferred.

• Experience supporting CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction activities strongly preferred.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced construction environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Expected travel is approximately 10% but may increase as business needs evolve.
