Mays Business School at Texas A&M University is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Program Manager to lead the administration and continued growth of the Flex Online Master of Human Resource Management (FO MS HRM) program within the Department of Management. This highly visible role serves as the driving force behind program operations, including student engagement and development initiatives, recruiting and admissions activities, and internal and external program representation. The ideal candidate will bring experience in event planning along with a strong understanding of the HR profession and the unique needs of working professionals in virtual learning environments. Success in this position requires exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to manage complex priorities and use data-driven insights to enhance program effectiveness. The Program Manager will thrive in a fast-paced environment and serve as a trusted partner to students, faculty, staff, and industry stakeholders while advancing the mission and reputation of Mays Business School.
What You Need to Know
Salary: $58,000 - $65,000/annually ( Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience)

Qualifications Required Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Education, or related field
• Five years of experience in management, recruiting, coordination, development, communications, or related experience
A Well-Qualified Candidate Will Also Possess: • Familiarity with the HR profession and HR career paths, Mays graduate programs, virtual learning settings, and supporting working professionals
• Experience with program coordination and vendor coordination
• Experience with public speaking
• Knowledge of graduate education, academic program administration, student services, and university policies and procedures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn enterprise systems, learning management systems, and other technology platforms
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and influence skills, with the ability to lead initiatives and drive results without direct authority
• Ability to exercise sound judgment while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with students, faculty and staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across varying audiences
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to analyze data and use evidence to inform decisions, assess program effectiveness, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks, balance competing deadlines, and execute program operations with a high degree of organization and accuracy
• Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive student, personnel, and institutional information
Opportunities to Contribute Student Development/Event Management • Plans and leads FO MS HRM graduate program events including but not limited to networking and recruiting events, professional development workshops and on-campus engagements for students
• Supports additional student engagements and events within the Department of Management (e.g. full-time MS HRM program)
• Coordinates guest speaking engagements and experiential learning opportunities for students
Recruiting and Admissions • Oversees and executes end-to-end prospective student recruiting and admissions. This includes tracking and reviewing applications, conducting virtual interviews, and making final admission decisions in consultation with admissions committee
• Maintains databases of prospective students, tracks inquiries, and conducts appropriate periodic outreach activities
• Tracks and reports program recruitment statistics to relevant parties
• Primary point of contact for current and prospective FO MS HRM students including walk-in student visits, emails, and phone calls, to answer program questions, and promotes the HRM graduate programs
• Partners with the marketing team to develop FO MS HRM promotional materials and campaigns. Refreshes marketing materials as needed
Academic Administration • Oversees all activities associated with course registration, degree plans and graduation requirements (e.g. pre-registration tasks, ensure all students submit a degree plan and graduation application, gain required approvals)
• Ensures FO MS HRM faculty are fully prepared before each course begins, including coordinating teaching assistant support and ordering and purchasing required course materials
• Manages course scheduling to ensure no class conflicts and adequate enrollment in courses
• Provides day-to-day work direction to graduate student worker(s) supporting the FO MS HRM program, including reviewing and approving work schedules and timesheets
• Meets regularly with Flex Online leaders to discuss best practices, issues/concerns and initiatives with the goal of improving the student experience and program operations
• Updates student handbook on annual basis to reflect all necessary information and guidelines for incoming students
