Airgas is Hiring for a Production Operator I in North Las Vegas, NV!
We are looking for you!
• Pay: $19.00/hr - $22.00/hr +.25 shift differential
• Shift: 4pm - 12:30am, Monday - Friday

The Gas Cylinder Operator I will assist in the cylinder requalification and repair process and manually and/or with the aid of material handling equipment move industrial gas cylinders to different areas of the plant and loads/unloads cylinders from delivery trucks.
• Adhere to and support compliance with the Code of Conduct/Handbook, policies and procedures and all applicable rules, regulations and standards established by Federal, State and other applicable agencies or regulating bodies.
• Pioneer the way within the Airgas culture – putting safety first. We are looking for someone to safely operate forklift, hand-truck, pallet-jack, chain hoist, etc. to load/unload compressed and liquid industrial gas cylinders to and from delivery trucks to filling and storage areas.
• You may load cylinders onto vehicles manually or with the aid of material handling equipment. Transfer plant cylinders to different areas within the facility using a forklift.
• Collaborate to organize and streamline cylinders for efficient refilling and handling.
• Nurture open communication by notifying your supervisor if normal truck loading duties cannot be completed effectively for any reason. Replace pallet straps as necessary.
• Maintain accurate load sheets and distribute to drivers at the end of shift.
• Support the team by reporting any equipment or facility defect(s) to your supervisor.
• Help keep the team safe by ensuring any accident or injury is promptly reported.
• Perform cylinder cleaning, painting and general maintenance when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Are you a MATCH?
Required Qualifications : • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
Preferred Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year related experience and/or training preferred
• Must be customer service oriented and able to interact with fellow Associates in a professional manner
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be detailed-oriented with good organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, MSDS, and procedure manuals
• Possess basic mathematic and written skills
The hourly base pay range for this position in Nevada is $19.00 - $22.00. Please note that the hourly base pay information is a general guideline only.
