About the Team:
The Asset Maintenance Team at Relativity is responsible for maximizing the availability, reliability, and safe operation of manufacturing equipment and critical production assets. We own preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment recovery, spare parts strategy, and reliability improvements that keep production moving. The team partners closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, EHS, Supply Chain, and equipment manufacturers to reduce downtime, eliminate repeat failures, and improve equipment performance. In a fast-paced, high-accountability environment, we ensure critical assets are ready to support ambitious production and program milestones.
About the Role:
As an Asset Maintenance Manager, you will own maintenance execution and equipment reliability for manufacturing assets, ensuring safe, responsive, and disciplined support to production. You will lead and develop a team of supervisors, leads, and technicians, strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance systems, prioritize equipment recovery, and drive data-based reliability improvements.
• Lead asset maintenance operations across manufacturing equipment, driving equipment availability, preventive maintenance completion, rapid recovery, and safe execution.
• Manage, coach, and develop maintenance supervisors, leads, and technicians, establishing clear ownership, shift coverage, escalation paths, and performance expectations.
• Own maintenance performance through the CMMS and key metrics, including equipment downtime, response time, repair cycle time, backlog, overdue work orders, repeat failures, and preventive maintenance compliance.
• Partner with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Supply Chain, and equipment manufacturers to troubleshoot failures, complete root cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance, critical spare parts, and equipment reliability strategies based on asset criticality, failure history, and production risk.
• Manage maintenance spending, service vendors, repair priorities, and equipment lifecycle decisions while balancing safety, production needs, reliability, and total cost of ownership.
About You:
• 7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, equipment reliability, or manufacturing operations within aerospace, automotive, precision manufacturing, or another high-reliability production environment.
• 3+ years of experience managing maintenance teams, including direct supervision of supervisors or leads.
• Strong technical knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of complex manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine control systems.
• Demonstrated experience building and executing preventive maintenance, CMMS, and reliability programs that improve equipment availability and reduce repeat failures.
• Proven ability to lead root cause analysis, coordinate OEM and vendor repairs, manage maintenance priorities, and support production in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to haves, but not required:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical maintenance leadership experience.
• Experience maintaining complex CNC machine tools, metrology equipment, automation, and supporting manufacturing systems.
• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), TPM, Lean, or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with CMMS, ERP/MRP, maintenance data analytics, spare parts optimization, and vendor or service contract management.
