Production Assembler

About this role

Join Life Fitness/Hammer Strength in Owatonna, MN as a Production Assembler on our 3rd Shift.   You'll   build, test, and inspect company products while following established procedures in a team environment.

Total Rewards & Pay-   Full-time team members are eligible for:  

• Base pay: $19.00-$22.13 per hour , based on qualifications and experience  

• 3rd shift differential: $2.00 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift

What You'll Do  

• Prepare materials for assembly  

• Assemble components using hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment to meet specifications  

• Test and inspect in-process and final assemblies for quality  

• Cross-train   to work at multiple stations as needed  

• Analyze rejected product and partner with the Lead Assembler on solutions  

• Use calibration and testing equipment to verify products meet specifications  

• Follow material replenishment processes  

• Maintain a safe, clean work area and dispose of waste properly  

• Perform other duties as assigned  

What We're Looking For  

Required Qualifications  

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on work  

• Commitment to working safely  

• Ability to   operate   hand tools, gauges, torque wrenches, and production equipment  

• Ability to perform basic math  

• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and production documentation in English  

Preferred Qualifications  

• High school diploma or equivalent  

• Previous   manufacturing experience  

• Ability to read blueprints  

• Experience with hand tools  

Physical Requirements & Work Environment  

• Occasionally   lift up   to 35   lbs  

• Stand for extended periods  

• Walk, bend, and turn consistently throughout the shift  

• Repetitive motion  

• Noisy environment

Your base wage will be between $19.00 - $22.13 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.This position is eligible for a $2.00 per hour shift differential for hours worked on 3rd shift, in addition to the base hourly wage.
