About this role
About Flagright
Flagright is an AI operating system for financial crime compliance used globally by Fortune 500 companies, large banks, fintechs, and fast growing startups. Flagright enables real-time risk detection, automated investigations, and intelligent decisioning, helping compliance teams operate at their full potential in the fight against financial crime.
We operate as a lean, high-performance team with high individual ownership and direct access to leadership.
Role Overview
Our Product team is at the core of Flagright's innovation, building solutions that power real-time financial crime prevention. They turn complex customer needs into scalable, high-impact solutions that drive our mission forward.
We are hiring a Product Operations Intern based in the Bay Area who will work alongside customer-facing and product teams to gather insights, support customer interactions, document processes, and help translate real-world feedback into product improvements. This is a high-ownership role for someone early in their career. You will be expected to take initiative, stay on top of multiple tasks, and contribute meaningfully — not just observe.
People Who Thrive at Flagright
- Have been knocked down before and gotten back up
- Are resourceful — they figure things out with whatever tools are available
- Have strong opinions and can defend them
- Learn fast because they're hungry
- Want to work with no-BS people building something important
People Who Struggle Here
- Need extensive hand-holding
- View high expectations as “unreasonable”
- Expect strict 9 to 6 boundaries
- Can’t handle ambiguity or rejection
- Prefer consistent routine over fast-changing priorities
Key Responsibilities
- Support customer implementations and onboardings alongside CSMs across environment setup, configuration, and go-live validation
- Build internal tooling to improve CS and product operations — automate repetitive workflows, create tracking systems, and eliminate manual overhead that slows the team down
- Identify process gaps and design fixes — if something is done manually three times, you should be asking how to make it never manual again
- Own knowledge base infrastructure — track coverage gaps, set freshness standards, and ensure documentation stays accurate as the product evolves
- Build and maintain the signals and reporting layer that keeps the team informed — surfacing at-risk accounts early, tracking adoption, and giving the Head of Customer Success clear visibility into SLA and operational KPIs.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate customer pain points and feature requests into clearly scoped requirements
- Support QA for new feature releases, verifying functionality against customer-facing requirements before rollout
Who We Are Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Product Management, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can write a clear, professional message under time pressure
- Detail-oriented and organized — able to juggle multiple tasks and follow through without reminders
- Comfortable jumping on customer calls and representing the team professionally
- Curious about how B2B SaaS products work and eager to learn across product, operations, and customer success
- Able to work independently and proactively raise blockers rather than wait for direction
- Based in the Bay Area and authorized to work in the USA (visa sponsorship not available) — this is a fully on-site role at our Santa Clara office
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with anti-fraud, AML, compliance, or fintech concepts
- Prior internship or project experience in a product, operations, or customer-facing role
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimizing product operations
- Interest in AI, machine learning, or intelligent automation as applied to compliance or risk
What We Offer
- Hands-on exposure to a fast-growing Y Combinator startup from day one
- Direct mentorship from product and customer success leads
- Real responsibilities — not coffee runs or shadow tasks
- A front-row seat to how enterprise B2B SaaS is built, sold, and operated
- Opportunity to convert to a full-time role for exceptional performers
- Work alongside a high-caliber team from Y Combinator, ex-AWS, and Palantir
- Enjoy a low-bureaucracy environment, minimal meetings, and an asynchronous communications culture
