About This Role
Nlyte is the leading provider of software for managing and optimizing data centers and is seeking an experienced Product Manager to partner with our Sales, Engineering, Services and Marketing teams As Product Manager, you will work closely with the Product leadership and our customers and partners to define new product features and enhancements for an off-the-shelf, enterprise software solution. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your data center software experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with the Engineering team to refine product feature release requirements and be the main point of contact for product owners. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will work with the Marketing team to define the go-to-market strategy and help them understand the product positioning and key benefits of your offering(s). You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering to include Sales enablement and launch success.
This position is 100% remote, but candidates must be based within the Eastern or Central time zones. Job Description • Managing the entire product life cycle from conception to planning and driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, QA, Sales and Marketing).
• Prioritizing and clarifying product requirements to facilitate accurate estimation and rapid development of new features to meet requirements and achieve on-time delivery.
• Working closely with Engineering, Marketing and Product leadership to develop a clear product roadmap that supports the company’s vision and customers’ and industry’s needs.
• Planning, coordination and monitoring of feature enhancements for your products.
• As the representative of internal and external customers, manage the product from inquiry through to acceptance, attaining high product quality to meet customer expectations.
Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree
• 4+ years of software product management / business analysis / product ownership experience in an enterprise software application environment.
• 1+ years of Data center experience and familiarity with enterprise software applications used to run day-to-day data center operations.
• 1+ years of experience with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs, e.g., REST, SOAP and OpenAPI).
Preferred Qualifications • Master’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering
• Experience with Configuration Management Databases (CMDB) tools like e.g., ServiceNow CMDB or Cherwell CMDB
• Experience with IT Operations Management, infrastructure monitoring and ongoing operations control, specifically with the implementation and configuration of real-time monitoring, alerting and reporting of global infrastructure (networks, servers, storage, databases, etc.), and the design of such systems
• Enterprise Agile/Scrum Product Owner experience
• Assertive with strong influencing skills
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Strong team player
• Willingness to challenge ideas and assumptions to ensure alignment with company and product strategy
• Highly innovative and foresight to act decisively on opportunities or problems
Pay Range The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. Other Compensation This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
