About this role
WHY DEPT®?
We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.
We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.
At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.
THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Product Manager, Experience Engineering & Platforms to join DEPT®'s growing Adobe practice in North America. In this senior consulting role, you will lead product management and roadmap strategy across multiple interconnected agile workstreams for enterprise clients modernizing their digital experience foundations on Adobe technology. You are the person who holds program-level coherence together — translating a client's 12-to-24-month platform vision into sequenced delivery milestones, managing dependencies across teams building on AEM Sites, Edge Delivery Services, and Adobe Commerce, and ensuring that every sprint brings measurable progress toward stated business outcomes. At this career stage, you are not just running a backlog; you are running the room with Directors and VPs, negotiating scope, and making the architectural tradeoffs legible to business stakeholders who care about conversion rates and content velocity, not component libraries.
The clients you will serve are typically large enterprises — global retailers, financial services brands, media companies, and healthcare organizations — who have outgrown their monolithic CMS or commerce platform and are investing in a composable, headless architecture to regain speed and flexibility. They come to DEPT® because their legacy AEM implementation has become a bottleneck, their site performance is eroding paid media ROI, or they need to scale content operations across dozens of markets without proportionally scaling headcount. You will produce the artifacts that make transformation concrete: platform architecture assessments that map current-state constraints to future-state capabilities, migration roadmaps with phased business cases, EDS implementation plans that quantify Core Web Vitals improvements, Commerce integration strategies that connect content and transaction, and performance optimization playbooks that connect technical outcomes to revenue impact. You will run executive steering committees, mentor product owners embedded in individual delivery teams, and track value realization across the program from kickoff through go-live and beyond.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Lead Program-Level Roadmap Strategy: Develop and maintain 12-to-24-month product roadmaps across multiple agile teams working on AEM Sites, Edge Delivery Services, and Adobe Commerce implementations — sequencing platform migrations, feature buildouts, and integration milestones in a way that balances business value delivery with technical risk management.
• Own Senior Stakeholder Relationships: Run executive steering committees and maintain ongoing alignment with Director and VP-level business sponsors, translating complex headless architecture decisions and composable platform tradeoffs into clear business language tied to outcomes like content velocity, time-to-market, and conversion rate improvement.
• Drive Value Realization and ROI Tracking: Define measurable success criteria at program inception — Core Web Vitals benchmarks, content publishing throughput, campaign activation speed — and build the reporting cadences that surface progress against those metrics to clients using Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target data as the foundation for ongoing prioritization decisions.
• Manage Cross-Team Dependencies and Scope: Identify and resolve dependencies between AEM Sites authoring teams, EDS front-end delivery squads, Commerce integration workstreams, and client-side technology and marketing operations teams — negotiating scope changes with stakeholders when discovery surfaces complexity that was not visible at contract, and keeping delivery on track without sacrificing program integrity.
• Produce and Govern Platform Strategy Deliverables: Author and maintain the consulting artifacts that anchor client decisions: platform architecture assessments, headless CMS strategy documents, composable architecture blueprints, AEM-to-EDS migration roadmaps, and Adobe Commerce integration strategies — ensuring these documents remain living references that evolve with the program rather than artifacts that go stale after kickoff.
WHAT YOU BRING
• 6–10 Years of Product Management Experience in Complex Digital Programs: You have managed products or programs at enterprise scale, ideally in a consulting or agency context where you were accountable to external clients rather than internal stakeholders. You know how to run a discovery, write a business case, and hold a program together through the ambiguity of a platform migration or a multi-phased commerce re-platform.
• Deep Domain Expertise in Headless and Composable Architecture: You understand the architectural patterns that define modern digital experience platforms — headless CMS, API-first commerce, CDN-level personalization, and composable DXP strategy — well enough to challenge vendor recommendations, identify integration risks during scoping, and help clients make durable platform decisions rather than chasing short-term vendor incentives.
• Adobe Product Fluency: You have hands-on familiarity with the Adobe DXP stack from a product strategy and program delivery perspective. Specifically: you have led or closely supported programs built on Adobe Experience Mana
