The compliance team supporting Robinhood’s credit card products and money transmitter (for Robinhood Credit, Inc., and Robinhood Money, LLC) is dedicated to ensuring robust regulatory compliance across all financial offerings. Our team's mission is to establish and maintain a strong compliance management system that supports compliant product growth and operational excellence. We partner closely with Product, Operations, Legal, and Risk to integrate regulatory requirements seamlessly into our financial platforms! Our team thrives on collaboration, proactive risk management, and a commitment to protecting our customers while supporting business goals.

As Lead Compliance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Robinhood embeds regulatory compliance for its current products, including the debit card, spending account, and credit cards, as well as future products. You will participate in multiple compliance functions to support the administration of our compliance management system. In this role, you will analyze regulatory changes, review marketing and customer disclosures, and provide clear compliance guidance to product teams. You will also collaborate with bank sponsors and partner teams to manage regulatory requests and audits! Your efforts will directly safeguard our platform and enhance our customer experience.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA; New York City, NY; Washington DC office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

• Provide compliance guidance on new products, features, and process changes to ensure adherence to applicable banking and consumer lending regulations.

• Review marketing materials, customer communications, and disclosures for regulatory compliance.

• Review and coordinate responses to regulatory agency and escalated customer complaints.

• Perform quality assurance reviews of Reg Z (credit card) and Reg E (deposit) disputes to ensure regulatory compliance and operational consistency.

• Coordinate due diligence requests and ongoing compliance activities with sponsor banks and other third-party partners.

• Assist in the development, maintenance, and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.

• Support internal audits, sponsor bank reviews, and regulatory examinations, including issue tracking, remediation, and response preparation.

• Partner with Product, Operations, Legal, Risk, Marketing, and Engineering teams to build compliant customer experiences.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5–7 years of compliance experience supporting consumer banking, credit cards, consumer lending, or other regulated financial products.

• Strong working knowledge of consumer financial regulations, including Regulation Z, Regulation E, UDAAP, FCRA, ECOA/Reg B, and related banking regulations.

• Experience reviewing marketing materials, customer communications, and product launches from a regulatory compliance perspective.

• Experience supporting complaint management, audits, and regulatory examinations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence partner teams (Product, Legal, Operations, and Risk).

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet key regulatory deadlines.

• Proven ability to assess and manage compliance risks for novel or undefined financial features, translating evolving regulatory guidance into clear, actionable requirements for product teams.

• Self-motivated and collaborative, with a drive to build compliant, customer-focused financial products.

• Ability to view Compliance as a strategic business partner that supports new product development while effectively managing regulatory risk.
