The Job:   As a  Product Architect – AI & Digital Products , you’ll be part of our Digital Product  team working as a  remote  employee. We're building a new generation of AI-powered digital products that combine modern software engineering, Generative AI, intelligent automation, and connected customer experiences to create lasting value across our global brands.

We're looking for a Product Architect to help define what's next.

This is not a traditional architecture role.

You won't spend your time maintaining legacy systems or reviewing infrastructure diagrams. Instead, you'll identify emerging technologies, rapidly validating new ideas, architect innovative product capabilities, and partner with Platform Architecture and Engineering teams to bring those ideas into production.

You'll help answer one fundamental question: "How can emerging technologies create meaningful business value and better customer experiences?"

If you love turning impossible ideas into production-ready products, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do As our Principal Product Architect, you'll serve as the bridge between Product Strategy, AI Innovation, and Enterprise Engineering. You'll be responsible for discovering new possibilities, proving technical feasibility, and designing scalable architectures that accelerate digital innovation across our business. Key Responsibilities: • Identify emerging AI technologies that can transform digital customer experiences and create meaningful business value. • Translate business opportunities into innovative, scalable technical solutions across digital products and connected customer experiences. • Build rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate new product ideas and technical feasibility. • Evaluate commercial platforms, open-source technologies, and AI services to determine the best solution for each use case. • Design modern AI-enabled applications using Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, semantic search, vector databases, and intelligent automation. • Architect AI agents and multi-agent workflows that automate customer and business processes. • Design secure integrations across AI services, enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and digital products. • Develop reference architectures and reusable digital capabilities that engineering teams can scale into production. • Partner with Product Managers, Platform Architects, and Engineering teams to shape roadmaps and deliver secure, production-ready solutions. • Establish engineering standards and best practices for AI applications, APIs, governance, observability, and responsible AI development.

The Person:   You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. You’re not intimidated by innovation. Wouldn’t it be great if you could do your job and do a world of good? In fact, you embrace it. You also have:  Qualifications • 5 7+ years of experience designing enterprise software, digital products, or cloud-native applications. • A strong software engineering background with Python and experience building production-grade applications. • Experience building applications using Large Language Models and modern AI engineering patterns. • Experience designing APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms. • A strong understanding of modern software architecture and cloud-native development practices. • Experience with AI technologies such as RAG, semantic search, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and AI agents. • Experience evaluating, benchmarking, and optimizing Large Language Models and designing guardrails, orchestration, and governance frameworks. • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences. • A passion for emerging technologies, continuous learning, and building innovative digital products that improve customer experiences.

The Details: You’ll receive a competitive salary and a great benefits plan, including: • Medical, dental, life, vision, disability, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement in addition to programs & benefits in support of your well-being. • Discounts on Stanley Black & Decker tools and other partner programs.

And More: We want our company to be a place you’ll want to be – and stay. Being part of our team means you’ll get to: • Grow: Be part of our global company with 20+ brands to grow and develop your skills along multiple career paths.

• Learn: Have access to a wealth of learning resources, including our digital learning portal. • Belong: Experience an awesome place to work, where we have mutual respect and a great appreciation for a wide range of perspectives and experiences. • Give Back: Help us continue to make positive changes locally and globally through volunteerism, giving back, and sustainable business practices.

What’s more, you’ll get that pride that comes from empowering makers, doers, protectors, and everyday heroes all over the world. We’re more than the #1 tools company. More than a driving force in outdoor power equipment. More than a global leader in industrial. We’re visionaries and innovators. As successful as we’ve been in the past, we have so much further to go. That’s where you come in. Join us!
