About this role

Calling all originals: At Levi Strauss & Co., you can be yourself — and be part of something bigger. We're a company of people who like to forge our own path and leave the world better than we found it. Who believe that what makes us different makes us stronger. So add your voice. Make an impact. Find your fit — and your future.

As a Consumer Domain Principal Product Manager, you'll own how we engage and personalize for consumers globally across all digital touchpoints. That means both we build the channels themselves around the consumer. This is your first mandate inside the broader Consumer Domain, and as you improve impact here, scope can expand into adjacent parts of the consumer journey. You'll start by building a clear, evidence-based view of where our current engagement channels and personalization capabilities are helping or holding us back — and make the call on what comes next. This is a senior individual contributor role. You won't manage a team, own a budget, or run sprint execution. However, you will lead the outcomes of this domain end-to-end, from assessment to roadmap to what ships.

You'll partner with multiple teams across our global footprint, including engineering, data science, design, marketing/CRM, legal/privacy, and regional/market teams. You'll work with them to turn your recommendations into requirements. Additionally, you'll collaborate with Directors and VPs to understand how this domain connects to the broader consumer experience.

The goal of this domain: consumers everywhere feel like we know them — the right message, on the right channel, at the right moment, no matter where they are in the world. Success is engagement and personalization performance that measurably improves over time. This roadmap supports this performance because it grounds itself in evidence rather than opinion, and the business puts its trust in it. Additionally, it involves engagement infrastructure that gets smarter — not just bigger — as we scale into new markets and channels.

About the Job Assess & Set the Consumer Engagement & Personalization Agenda • Assess how well our current communications digital channels serve consumers across our global markets. Build a fact-based point of view on what's working, what isn't, and where the highest-use opportunities are. • Diagnose how personalized our consumer engagement is today, from basic segmentation to real-time, individualized decisioning. Define the roadmap to close the gap between where we are and where we need to be. • Lead the multi-year vision and prioritized roadmap for consumer engagement and personalization, translating your assessment into a clear set of recommendations and work tracks. • Manage the trade-offs across recommendations: what we invest in first, what we deprioritize, and why.

Platform & Personalization Infrastructure Decisions • Make build-vs-buy-vs-partner recommendations for the foundational capabilities behind personalization and engagement. These capabilities include whether we need a customer data platform (CDP), a recommendation or decisioning engine, stronger pipelines into our communications platform, or new orchestration tooling. Defend these recommendations. • Define the data and signals — purchase history, browse behavior, preferences, lifecycle stage — that should improve personalization, and oversee the requirements that make those signals usable in real-time across channels. • Write the PRDs, briefs, and requirements that turn your recommendations into build-ready work for engineering, data science, and product teams. • Stay close to delivery, not just requirements — unblock trade-offs in-flight and remain accountable for what ships, not just what's written down.

Global & Market-Specific Strategy • Determine where a single global approach to engagement and personalization makes sense. Identify where strategies specific to the market are needed. Run tests to compare tactics across regions, and other markets we operate in, rather than assuming a one-size-fits-all strategy. • Identify which personalization signals and logic generalize globally and which need local tuning — product, size, or content relevance often differs by region, on top of channel and regulatory differences. • Partner with regional and market teams to understand local channel norms, consumer behavior, and regulatory requirements, and factor them into your roadmap. • Build the frameworks, strategies, and shared tooling that let regional teams move fast without fragmenting the underlying platform.

Measurement & Continuous Optimization • Define the engagement and personalization metrics that matter globally and by market and oversee the test-and-learn agenda that improves them. • Run a disciplined, cross-market experimentation pace, working in the data (SQL, dashboards, experiment results) to determine what generalizes globally versus what you need to localize.

Cross-Functional & Executive Alignment • Collaborate and influence the engineering, data science, design, and partner teams, keeping them aligned to one prioritized set of investments rather than competing asks. • Represent the consumer engagement and personalization domain in cross-functional planning and annual operating plan (AOP) cycles and make the case for investment — including new platforms or infrastructure — to Directors and VPs. • Mentor Senior PMs and PMs across markets on personalization and lifecycle craft, and raise the department's bar for how data and AI show up in consumer engagement globally.

About You • Bachelor's degree required. • Have 8+ years of experience in product management. This experience includes direct ownership of a consumer-facing product, such as personalization or consumer engagement platforms (email, push, SMS). This experience would have a global or multi-market scope. • Experience with personalization techniques — segmentation, rules-based targeting, and ML-driven recommendations/decisioning — and judgment for when each is the right t
