The Opportunity:

Ensemble is seeking an experienced Network Architect to help design and evolve our enterprise and cloud network architecture across a modern, cloud-first, multi-site environment. In this role, you will translate business and security requirements into resilient, secure, and scalable network designs that support mission-critical healthcare operations. You will collaborate closely with engineering, cloud operations, and security teams to set architectural direction, establish standards, and guide delivery. This is a hands-on, influence-driven role for a systems thinker who communicates equally well with engineers and executives.

What You’ll Do • Define and maintain the target-state network architecture across cloud and on-premises environments, including reference designs, standards, and documentation. • Architect cloud network solutions in an Azure-first environment, designing for scalability, segmentation, and secure connectivity. • Design and govern the network security edge, including next-generation firewalls, zero-trust principles, and secure remote access. • Guide the evolution of enterprise routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure, and define integration paths between on-premises and cloud. • Support multi-cloud connectivity as part of a broader cloud strategy. • Ensure network designs align with healthcare regulatory and security requirements, partnering with the security organization on audit readiness. • Champion automation and Infrastructure-as-Code approaches to network provisioning and change management. • Partner on incident response and root cause analysis, translating lessons learned into architectural improvements. • Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors, making recommendations that improve reliability, security, and cost efficiency. • Present and defend architecture decisions to technical teams and senior stakeholders with clear, business-framed rationale.

What You Should Bring • 8+ years in enterprise networking, with 3+ years in a formal network architecture role for a large, multi-site environment. • Cloud network architecture hands-on experience designing cloud networking, with depth in Microsoft Azure. • Network security strong background with next-generation firewall platforms, zero-trust architecture, and secure remote access. • Enterprise networking solid experience with enterprise routing, switching, and wireless technologies. • Multi-cloud exposure to additional public cloud platforms is a plus. • Automation familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting (e.g., Terraform, PowerShell, or Python). • Experience designing for high availability, resiliency, and secure access in a regulated environment (healthcare/HIPAA experience preferred). • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, leadership, and partner teams. • Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences. • This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require. • This position pays between $148,800 - $223,200 based on experience

Nice to Have • Relevant industry certifications in cloud networking, network security, or enterprise networking. • Experience in healthcare, revenue cycle, or another regulated industry. • Exposure to establishing architecture standards or review practices.
