The Department: Marketing

The Prediction Markets Operations team turns real-world events into clearly defined event contracts. We support markets across their full lifecycle—from an initial idea, through configuration and launch, into live operations, and finally to accurate resolution. Our work sits at the intersection of current events, marketplaces, and regulated products, and it demands precision at every step.

The team is responsible for making sure every contract is: clearly and objectively written, based on reliable, authoritative resolution sources, accurately configured, supported with appropriate images and content, thoroughly reviewed before launch, monitored while live, and resolved accurately and consistently.

The Role: Prediction Markets Operations Intern (Fall 2026)

This is a detail-oriented, hands-on internship for someone interested in marketplaces, operations, current events, financial technology, or regulated products. You will perform time-sensitive operational work and learn firsthand how prediction markets move from an idea to a live and, ultimately, settled contract.

Success in this role depends on accuracy, sound judgment, reliability, and operational discipline. Just as important is the willingness to escalate uncertainty rather than guess. You will support, coordinate, research, prepare, review, and execute work under established procedures, working closely with partners across Prediction Markets, Operations, Customer Support, Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Design, Marketing, and our liquidity partners.

This will be a 16-week fall internship program required to be in person 3 days a week at our New York City, NY office.

Responsibilities:

Contract Research and Market Listings

• Research potential prediction-market contract ideas.

• Help turn ideas into precise, objective binary questions.

• Identify reliable and authoritative public resolution sources.

• Flag ambiguity, potentially prohibited subject matter, or questions requiring Compliance or Legal review.

• Prepare contract specifications, including outcomes, dates, descriptions, tickers, resolution criteria, and other listing details.

• Create and configure event contracts in the Contract Management System, or assist with structured CSV uploads, under established procedures.

• Support research and documentation related to product requirements and filings.

Quality Assurance and Launch Operations

• Perform pre-launch and post-upload quality assurance.

• Verify contract names, outcomes, ordering, start times, expiration times, resolution criteria, and designated sources.

• Review dates and times carefully, including UTC-based fields.

• Compare contracts with relevant external prediction markets when appropriate, and identify unintended differences in outcomes, timing, or mechanics.

• Confirm that event and social images are present and appropriate.

• Upload or update approved event images, social images, and display settings.

• Coordinate launch information with internal stakeholders and liquidity partners.

• Identify discrepancies and escalate issues before launch.

Customer and Live-Market Support

• Review, triage, and investigate prediction-market support tickets.

• Gather relevant facts, document findings, and route issues appropriately.

• Monitor live markets for incorrect content, timing discrepancies, operational issues, or unexpected behavior.

• Follow established incident-escalation procedures when urgent technical or operational issues arise.

• Maintain accurate trackers, checklists, SOPs, and internal documentation.

• Identify opportunities to improve repetitive workflows and reduce manual work.

Market Monitoring and Resolution

• Monitor contracts approaching expiration or awaiting resolution.

• Research outcomes using the contract’s designated resolution source.

• Prepare a proposed outcome, source links, and a concise rationale for internal review.

• Double-check resolution information against authoritative sources.

• Escalate unclear, conflicting, delayed, or incomplete source information rather than guessing.

• Execute approved market settlements in the Contract Management System after required training, review, and approval.

• Settlement activity is performed only under established procedures, supervision, access controls, and approval requirements. Accuracy is critical, because completed settlements may not be reversible.

• Document completed resolutions according to team procedures.

Scheduled Monitoring Coverage

• Participate in a scheduled rotation for brief evening or weekend monitoring.

• This is lightweight, scheduled coverage—not continuous or unrestricted on-call work.

• Interns will primarily identify and escalate issues to the appropriate full-time team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Master’s degree or recent graduate.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong written communication.

• Ability to research information and distinguish authoritative sources from unreliable ones.

• Sound judgment and a willingness to escalate uncertainty.

• Comfort with detailed, repeatable, process-driven tasks.

• Ability to manage time-sensitive wor
