Barbaricum is seeking an Model Based Systems Engineer III to directly support the anticipated Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division, Model Based Engineering Assessment Division (Code MXM) opportunity. Code MXM's mission is mission engineering analysis and assessment of complex Naval, DoD, and joint kill chains — with a specialized focus on Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) enabled analysis. As a Model Based Systems Engineer III, you will own the model-based systems engineering backbone of Code MXM's mission engineering capability development — the largest single labor category on this effort. You will develop and manage requirements and verification methodologies within system models, create SETR artifacts and MBSE meta-chain report templates, and lead the data and configuration management of MBSE artifacts. You will use MBSE products and system models to assess interoperability and plan the integration of systems into LVC and physical environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Exercise MBSE practices to develop and manage requirements and verification methodologies within system models (SOW 4.6.10).
• Use models to identify subassemblies, interfaces, functions, environments, and software/firmware requirements, and to assess system interoperability.
• Create SETR artifacts and MBSE meta-chain report templates; perform data management (DM) and configuration management (CM) of MBSE artifacts.
• Plan and manage integration of systems into virtual environments (LVC) and the physical world to realize cooperative system capability.
• Develop products using Cameo Systems Modeler, DOORS, Rational Rhapsody, Teamwork Cloud, SysML, MATLAB, SIMDIS, and Visio (CDRLs A029–A035).
• Maintain proficiency in Universal Modeling Language (UML) and MBSE methodologies and frameworks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Active DoD SECRET clearance (minimum); U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 10+ years performing Model Based Systems Engineering.
• Expert knowledge of MBSE methodologies and frameworks and expertise in MBSE tools; proficiency in UML.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Active TS/SCI clearance (preferred).
• Master's or Doctorate degree.
• Expertise with Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, DOORS, Teamwork Cloud, and SysML v1 (with SysML v2 familiarity).
• Experience creating SETR artifacts and MBSE meta-chain templates on DoD programs.
• Prior EMSO / electronic warfare / digital engineering experience at a Navy warfare center.
