Practical Law, a division of Thomson Reuters is looking for a Practical Law Intern who has completed their first or second year at an ABA-accredited law school to work with the Capital Markets & Corporate Governance team.

About the Role In this opportunity as Practical Law Intern you will: Support the CMCG editorial team in researching, drafting, and maintaining legal practice resources covering capital markets, securities regulation, corporate governance, and startup/venture matters.   Key Responsibilities • Research current SEC rules, exchange listing standards, and market practice on assigned topics

• Draft or update Practical Law content (practice notes, standard documents, checklists) under editor supervision

• Fact-check and cite-check existing resources against primary sources (SEC releases, exchange rules, case law)

• Track regulatory developments (e.g., SEC rule proposals/adoptions) and flag content impacted

About You You’re a fit for the role of a Practical Law Intern if you: • Demonstrate strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. • Demonstrate an ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and express complex legal material quickly and accurately. • Have an impressive command of grammar, punctuation, and plain English. • Consistently pay strong attention to detail and have good organizational skills. • Are able to work independently, consistently meet deadlines, and achieve individual objectives within larger team projects. • Have experience using Westlaw and Microsoft Office products.
