About this role
Overview:
Dr. Jihyun Jang at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University is seeking a Fellow to study how epitranscriptomic mechanisms regulate cardiac development and congenital heart disease. Our research focuses on m6A RNA methylation and its roles in developmental cell fate decisions, congenital heart defects, and pediatric cardiomyopathies. Using human iPSC-derived cardiac organoids, genetically engineered mouse models, CRISPR technologies, and single-cell/multi-omics approaches, we investigate the molecular regulation of heart development and disease. Projects include ventricular development, congenital valve disease, endocardial biology, and pediatric cardiomyopathy. Read more about the lab here: Jihyun Jang
