Plate Maker

About this role

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Plate Maker position at their Villa Rica II facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia. Qualified candidates should have experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Pay: $20.66-$30.98 per hour depending on experience There is also an additional $2.50 per hour night shift premium.

Schedule: Night Shift 8:00pm – 8:00am on a 3/2 schedule

• Annual reviews with a potential for a pay rate increase

• Up to $120 for steel toed shoes

• Up to $135 for uniforms

• Up to $125 for prescription safety glasses

• Overtime

Minimum Requirements: • Must be at least 18 years old

• At least 1 year of experience operating a machine is preferred

  Internal Candidates: • Last performance review was rated “Performer” or higher 

• No disciplinary actions beyond a written within the past 120 days

• Must be in current position for at least 120 days.

Job Responsibilities: • Compiling information, following written and logical instructions to operate a plate making system

• Monitoring and managing plate activities to provide plates to meet the needs of the press department

• Understanding and completing accurate job search activities

• Operating and troubleshooting making equipment

• Proof reading printed material, checking one design or pattern against another, and checking documentation for accuracy

• Using a calculator to calculate (decimals, %, fractions) without a machine, and calculating (+,-, x, division) without a machine

• Using a micrometer, reading meters, dials or calibrated scales, and using a rule or other physical measuring instrument
