As a Peer Specialist, you will provide community-based behavioral health support services to children, adolescents, and adults. Working closely with clients, families, and community partners, you will help develop and implement individualized treatment plans, teach coping and recovery skills, facilitate group sessions, coordinate services, and empower individuals to achieve their personal goals. Through evidence-based interventions and a strengths-based approach, you will play a vital role in promoting wellness, stability, and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities: · Provide community-based behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults to support recovery, wellness, and independence. · Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other care team members. · Utilize evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed approaches, CBT-based skills, DBT-based skills, and positive reinforcement techniques. · Teach and model healthy coping skills, self-management strategies, and recovery-focused behaviors. · Facilitate Psycho-Social Rehabilitation (PSR) group sessions aligned with client treatment goals. · Coordinate services with healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care. · Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, teachers, counselors, and community partners. · Monitor client progress and adjust interventions to support treatment plan objectives. · Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation of services and client interactions. · Participate in training, professional development, quality improvement initiatives, and team collaboration activities. · Support organizational and departmental goals while performing additional duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or another human services-related field; OR · Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with two (2) years of related experience; OR · Any four-year combination of higher education and two (2) years of related work experience; OR · Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree; OR · Four (4) years of qualifying experience delivering services to individuals with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities. · Qualifying experience may include providing rehabilitation or recovery-focused services, teaching coping and self-management skills, supporting employment or community integration, and assisting individuals in achieving treatment plan goals. · Knowledge of case management, rehabilitation methods, and behavioral health service delivery. · Knowledge of community resources available to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges. · Understanding of evidence-based behavioral health interventions and recovery-oriented practices. · Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to complete clear and concise documentation.

Additional Qualifications: · Must possess a current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current automobile insurance. · Must have reliable transportation and be willing to transport clients in a personal vehicle when required. · Must possess or obtain a Class E License as required. · Must successfully complete all required background screenings, including criminal, driving, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks. · Ability to establish positive working relationships with clients, families, community partners, and multidisciplinary team members. · Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate services, and work independently while maintaining effective communication. · Ability to follow direction, accept supervision, and contribute positively within a team environment. · Extensive knowledge of program policies, procedures, and regulations related to assigned services.

Physical Requirements · Perform sedentary work, including exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and negligible force frequently to move objects. · Use hands, fingers, and arms repetitively for typing, writing, and documentation throughout the workday. · Sit for extended periods while completing administrative and documentation tasks. · Occasionally walk or stand while providing services, attending meetings, or supporting clients in community settings. · Perform work activities requiring a combination of desk-based responsibilities and comm
