Job Summary
Diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases and injuries in children. May refer patients to specialists for further diagnosis or treatment, as needed.
Essential Functions : • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury in infants and children. (50%)
• Treat children who have minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and growth and development concerns. (10%)
• Examine patients or order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical condition and determine diagnosis. (5%)
• Advise patients, parents or guardians, and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. (5%)
• Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and parents or guardians. (5%)
• Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, or examination results. (5%)
• Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary. (5%)
• Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary. (5%)
• Teach residents or medical students about pediatric topics. (5%)
• Provide consulting services to other physicians. (5%)
Education : • Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited medical school Required
Work Experience :
Licenses : • MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required

Work Type PRN/Intermittent Salary $188,800.00 - $236,500.00 / yr (Pay range listed is for 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE). See Work Type for actual FTE)
