Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the PCT I at Franciscan performs delegated patient care activities in a manner that is aligned with the age-specific and beneficial needs of the patient. PCT I is an entry level position whose job functions include providing Activities of Daily Living, data collection, patient transporting, and answering calls.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT • Perform activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, oral care, grooming (shaving), urinary catheter and ostomy care; assist with meals and feeding; assist with positioning, ambulation, and mobilization; assist with elimination and toileting. • Screening/Collection/Recording data & information: vital signs, intake & output, weights, specimen collection. • Restock patient room and unit supplies, perform equipment checks. • Transport patients by wheelchair, cart, bed, bassinet. • Answer patient call-lights, telephones, Vocera.

Available Shifts- Float Pool PCT- 6AM- 6PM • Full time

• Part time

QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma/GED- Preferred

• 6 Months of CNA experience Required

• Nursing student with one round of clinicals completed OR

• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) OR

• Prior PCT experience in another acute care health care organization Required

• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Franciscan will provide BLS training and recertification as needed.
