Essential Functions: We are seeking a licensed therapist to join our obstetrics clinic as part of an integrated behavioral health team. This role provides mental health screening, brief and ongoing therapy, and care coordination for patients navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, pregnancy loss, infertility, and related life transitions. Individual will be a full-time employee of Manning Family Children’s. Individual will support and implement the mission, vision, and core values of Manning Family Children’s. Individual will have access to Manning Family Children’s specialty and behavioral health services to supplement and resource behavioral health needs. They will complete all documentation in the electronic medical record in a timely manner. Individual may perform Care Coordination for patients requiring specialized care and refer to appropriate resources as needed. Clinical Supervision of unlicensed staff may be required. This position has the opportunity for career development at Manning Family Children’s. Individual will work at defined LCMC obstetric clinic and hospital locations. Will involve telehealth service delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable working embedded within a fast-paced medical setting alongside OB/GYNs as well as clinic and nursing staff.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree from an accredited school in Social Work or Mental Heath Counseling. Licensed in the State of Louisiana. Participation in appropriate continuing education, annual education requirements, and to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job-related skills and abilities.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS 2 years of progressively increasing experience in a clinical setting. Previous hospital experience; crisis intervention; know-how for navigating community partnerships with community programs and health care providers. Experience or training in providing services to pregnant and postpartum patients. Must have excellent skills in communication, the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and to prioritize. Must have clinical knowledge of and be able to work with a variety of psychosocial issues of pregnant and postpartum populations.
Preferred: 2+ years of progressively increasing experience in a clinical setting; Previous h ospital/clinical experience; crisis intervention; know-how for navigating community partnerships with community programs and health care providers.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS Licensed LPC or LCSW in the state of Louisiana

Must have astute observational and assessment skills and clinical expertise. Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals to obtain positive solutions. Must possess strong critical thinking skills and willingness to contribute to program development. Must demonstrate the ability to successfully deliver culturally responsive services Preferred: Bilingual; Analytic Ability, Creativity, Imagination, Initiative, Patience, Risk Assessment, Crisis Intervention, and Empathy.
