About this role

Job Description This position is administered within the Occupational Therapy Department (https://www.chhs.colostate.edu/ot/) and the activities of the research will occur in the Brainwaves Research Laboratory located in the University Center for the Arts (https://music.colostate.edu/music-therapy/brainwaves-research-lab/) or in our mobile lab (van) associated with the Brainwaves Research Lab and Occupational Therapy Department.  

This is a part-time position with varying weekly hours up to 19 hours per week.

Essential Job Duties: Successful candidates will assist with research activities in the Brainwaves Research Lab which may include recruitment activities, administrating behavioral assessments and questionnaires, and assist in phlebotomy (drawing blood from human participants). The research assistants may also enter data into a database, complete participant logs, and assist in ordering supplies.  

Supervision: None

Conditions of Employment: Pre-employment Background Check (for all new hires).

Minimum Qualifications: • BS in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or related field.

• At least 6 months of research experience.

• Experience in assisting with human research activities.

• Interest in performing phlebotomy on human participants.

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience or certification in human phlebotomy.

• Experience with recruiting participants for human research studies.

Pay Rate Range: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
