Your Role:   Operational Excellence   Intern   –   Elwood, Kansas   (Summer 2027)  

As a Summer 2027  Operational Excellence Intern with Elanco Animal Health,   you will be part of the   global operational excellence   team   at our   Elwood, Kansas   manufacturing plant ,   deliver ing   projects that make the manufacturing and quality organization run efficiently. In this role, you will be   assisting   the global team with implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other best practices to drive operational excellence ( OpEx ) initiatives.  

Your Responsibilities:   

• Assist   in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other best practices to drive operational excellence ( OpEx ) initiatives  

• Work on projects focused on   optimizing   workflows,   eliminating   waste, and enhancing overall productivity.  

• Utilize data analysis to   establish   process improvement methods  

• Investigate ideas for cost-savings and time management.  

• Work within cross-functional teams to implement process improvements within a pharmaceutical space.  

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):  

• Education :   Currently enrolled in engineering, science, or data analysis field.  

• Top   S kills :   Experience in Microsoft Suites ,   a willingness to learn , and interest in reviewing and improving processes, data, and statistics.   

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):  

• Prior internship or professional experience in process improvement and optimization  

• Strong communication   and interpersonal skills   

• Strong organizational and time management skills   

• Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision  

Additional Information:   

• Travel:   10% - to corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing  

• Location:   Elwood   Manufacturing Plant,   Elwood, KS

• Competitive   S alary:   $20-$40/hour (dependent upon major and year in school)
