About this role
This role serves as a strategic finance partner to US Oncology business, primarily responsible for supporting the Nuvalent Integration and owning the commercial strategy and execution of our two brands. The position will be the key point of contact for all US integration related activities, including management and understanding of systems and processes at both Nuvalent and GSK. The role also supports key commercial functions, owns planning and forecasting activities, business performance analysis and reporting, providing decision support for investment allocation, shape of the organization and future projections.
The role requires strong business judgement, executive-level communication, and the ability to simplify complex issues into clear decision support for senior leadership while operating effectively across a sophisticated matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities: Nuvalent Integration • Serve as the US LOC finance lead for the Nuvalent integration, owning the finance workstream from pre-close planning through Day 1 readiness and post-close steady state.
• Map, compare, and harmonize Nuvalent and GSK financial systems, chart of accounts, cost center structures, planning calendars, and month-end processes; drive migration of the acquired entity onto GSK platforms.
• Partner across Business Development, Tax, Treasury, Controllership, Procurement, HR, Legal, and Tech to sequence integration milestones, and resolve cross-functional dependencies.
• Support integration governance by preparing Steering Committee materials, tracking risks and issues, and escalating decisions with clear financial framing and recommended options.
• Lead knowledge transfer and change management for incoming Nuvalent finance colleagues, supporting retention, capability building, and cultural integration.
Brand Financials and Strategic Direction • Own the commercial financial strategy, planning, and execution for GSK’s products including brand P&L ownership, gross-to-net, promotional and A&P investment, and return-on-investment analysis.
• Build and maintain long-range brand forecasts and launch scenarios, pressure-testing assumptions on uptake, pricing, patient access, and competitive dynamics.
• Provide strategic direction on investment allocation across brands, channels, and indications, developing business cases for incremental funding requests.
• Delivery decisions support for launch readiness, lifecycle, and indication-expansion decisions, translating clinical and commercial milestones into financial impact.
• Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders across the US Oncology business and the acquired Nuvalent organization, providing financial insight that enables informed decision-making and resource allocation.
Investor Relations • Support Investor Relations by delivering performance commentary, financial insights, and performance narratives that contribute to external stakeholder communications.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts
• 8+ years of Commercial Finance and leadership experience of a finance or advisory team of professionals.
• Experience providing financial guidance and recommendations to stakeholders across a matrixed organization, supporting business, operational, or investment decisions.
• Experience communicating financial performance, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to executive stakeholders to support business planning and investment decisions.
• Experience applying finance and accounting principles to analyze business results, identify performance drivers, and support resource-allocation decisions.
• Experience managing competing priorities, responding to changing requirements, meeting established deadlines, and adhering to defined quality standards.
• Experience leading or supporting the finance workstream of an acquisition, merger, divestiture, or integration, including harmonization of systems, processes, and reporting.
• Experience owning a brand, product, or business unit P&L, including forecasting, gross-to-net, and commercial investment analysis.
• Experience operating in environments with incomplete information and evolving structures, establishing interim processes and controls while permanent solutions are built.
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience applying International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements in financial reporting, accounting, compliance, audit, or internal control activities.
• Previous experience in US Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/ Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
• Master of Business Administrator (with finance components) or equivalent experience
• Previous experience managing integration, acquisition, divestiture or merger
• Experience integrating a newly acquired biotech or commercial-stage company into a large pharmaceutical organization, including ERP/system migration and chart of accounts alignment
• Experience with purchase accounting, opening balance sheet, synergy tracking, and integration cost reporting
• Experience in oncology brand finance and supporting product launches
• Experience working with Transition Services Agreements (TSAs) and managing their financial wind-down
Work Arrangements : Employees need to be onsite at a minimum of 2 days a week as per Performance with Choice (PwC).
