Intel Foundry is increasing its investment in defect metrology technology, implementing a new Win It Inline initiative using advanced real-time monitoring to improve yield learning cycles. Investing in inline metrology will give engineers more data throughout the manufacturing process, as opposed to waiting for end of the line data - a fundamental shift in how we leverage data to build chips.

As a Defect Metrology Technician, you will play a critical role in Intel's high-tech manufacturing process, ensuring our tools are optimized for world-class production. Your contributions will directly impact Intel's innovation, enabling the delivery of advanced technologies that power the future of computing. This role is intended for defect metrology technicians to report to the Yield/Defect Metrology department. This role has opportunities across all shifts (4/5/6/7) as needed per functional area.

The Defect Metrology Technician will be responsible for but not limited to: • Perform detailed defect analysis, including critical dimension, overlay, film thickness, stress, bow, and roughness measurements using advanced metrology tools. • Identify and classify defects based on established criteria and standards. • Collect, organize, and analyze defect density, size distribution, and other relevant metrics. • Regularly maintain and calibrate metrology equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability. • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams or field service engineers. • Collaborate with Yield and Defect Metrology Engineering teams to implement process improvements based on defect analysis findings. • Document and communicate defect analysis results, metrology measurements, and findings to peers, technicians, and managers. • Monitor and audit manufacturing processes, providing guidance and training to other technicians. • Execute lot dispositions, experimental testing, and engineering tests to support process optimization and research efforts. • Drive a culture of quality by actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives and adhering to established standards. • Equipment maintenance and repair, equipment troubleshooting, defect reduction, and other duties as required supporting Fab objectives. • Work from technical manuals, specifications, drawings/diagrams, schematics, written and verbal instructions utilizing a variety of tools, test equipment, problem solving techniques and communication. • This position is for a Compressed Work Week Schedule with availability on all shifts in Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (Fab52/42/32/12).

Compressed Work Week shifts tend to be 12-hour shifts from 6 to 6. • Shift 4 - Night front half of week - PM-AM Sun-Tues and alternating Saturday nights • Shift 5 - Days front half of week - AM-PM Sun-Tues and alternating Wednesday days • Shift 6 - Night back half of week - PM-AM Wed-Sat and alternating Saturday night • Shift 7 - Days back half of week - AM-PM Thurs-Sat and alternating Wednesday days

Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. Minimum Qualifications:

• The candidate must possess at least one of the following educational or experience requirements: o High School Diploma or equivalent AND 3+ years of related hands-on experience OR military technical experience. o High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years in a related equipment maintenance role. o High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ year Technical/trade certification OR 2+ years technical experience. o Associate degree in STEM Related field AND 1+ years of related equipment maintenance experience. o 2+ years' experience with user level computer operation.

Preferred Qualifications: • Military experience • Proficiency in using advanced node metrology and defect analysis tools aligned with semiconductor manufacturing processes. • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field. • Basic knowledge of statistical data analysis techniques and process control systems. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork across engineering and technician groups. • Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and provide innovative solutions for process improvements. • Enthusiasm for learning, growth, and contributing to a high-performing team environment. • Eagerness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your contributions directly i
