Position Summary Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | No Nights, No Weekends, No Inpatient On-Call Location: Primary office at Orthopedics of Chesterfield (with coverage across regional clinics)

The Nurse Supervisor serves as the clinical and operational anchor for the Foot & Ankle practice. Balancing clinical expertise with administrative leadership, the supervisor oversees daily practice operations, optimizes patient workflows, and fosters a collaborative environment focused on top-tier specialty care.

• Supervises, mentors, and empowers a team of 1 RN and 6 MAs while driving accountability, teamwork, and high clinical standards.

• Oversees daily clinic flow, manages resource allocation, and optimizes workflows across multiple clinic locations.

• Acts as the primary liaison between surgeons, APPs, clinic staff, departmental leadership, and OR teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervises nursing staff, including hiring/firing responsibilities, performance appraisals for subordinates, initiating disciplinary action. • Coordinates patient services with physicians and staff to provide quality care in effective manner, conducting rounds to ensure quality of patient care delivery. • Facilitates educational opportunities and quality improvement activities for staff to ensure compliance with medical school and regulatory guidelines. • Assigns/coordinates activities and duties of staff orienting new staff and advising administration of conditions and performance issues. • Provides direct patient care as needed, including development of patient care plans, administering medication, vitals, phlebotomy, monitoring IV therapies and maintaining records in accordance with approved nursing techniques. • Promotes/maintains good public relations with patients and families, acting as liaison between other departments. • Provides appropriate counsel to patients/families explaining medications, procedures and teaches care to ensure continuity of care and promote health care maintenance. • Monitors supplies/equipment ordering/repairing as required.

Required Qualifications

Education: Associate Degree/Diploma In Registered Nursing Or Diploma In Practical Nursing Certifications /Professional Licenses : The list below may include all acceptable certifications, professional licenses and issuers. More than one credential, certification or professional license may be required depending on the role.

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross, Licensed Practical Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Licensed Practical Nurse - Missouri Division of Professional Registration, Registered Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Registered Nurse - Missouri Division of Professional Registration Work Experience: Nursing (2 Years) Skills: Not Applicable Driver's License: A driver's license is not required for this position.

More About This Job Required Qualifications: • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, plus a minimum of 2 years of related nursing experience. • Current LPN or RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act. • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Salary Range $74,200.00 - $133,500.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
