About this role

Position Status: Full time Shift: First Shift (Days - Less than 12 hours per shift) (United States of America) Hours per week: 40 Job Information Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

A Brief Overview Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies. Assists with oversite of regulatory expectations for Nuclear Medicine in the Flint Hills Region.

Licenses and Certifications • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB Required or • Nuclear Medicine Technology - ARRT Required or • Radiography - ARRT Must complete cross training within 6 months of hire. Required • Licensed Radiology Technologist (LRT) - KSBHA Valid Kansas License or eligible must be obtained. Required • Basic Life Support - BLS Required within 90 days of hire.

What you will do • Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses, under direction of Physician. • Calibrates equipment. • Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by Physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ. • Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors. • Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of Physician. Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials. • Performs venipuncture for injections. • Provides services in a prompt manner at times convenient for the customers. Understands and practices patient confidentiality. • Provides a positive image to customers by creating a friendly atmosphere and placing a high priority on meeting customer needs in a courteous manner. • Demonstrates proper use of equipment, time, and supplies in efforts to control costs. • Demonstrates an openness to change through suggestions and constructive criticism. • Willingly accepts various work assignments. Is accountable and responsible for own actions/decisions. • Contributes to a team atmosphere by demonstrating excellent communication skills, taking initiative to perform needed tasks, and being flexible to go beyond normal expectations to meet the needs of others. • Responds to needs and is knowledgeable of appropriate care for school-aged through gerontological patients. • Demonstrates a commitment to continuing personal and/or professional development. Maintains CEU’s for certification. Seeks opportunities to improve knowledge base by attending departmental meetings, in services and other educational activities.

Travel Requirements • 40% Travel to clinic locations.
