Job Summary
Responsible for providing care to patients during their stay at a hospital. Their duties include managing schedules for inpatient treatments and coordinating care providers, ordering tests and maintaining medical records for their patients. Expected shifts: 2-5/month
Essential Functions :
• Follow up on patient care, discuss patient care with nurses and resolve any problems that may arise. (30%) • Coordinate care between different doctors caring for a patient, serve as point of contact for hospital staff and maintain communication with the patient’s family. (30%) • Service on committees and work to help improve efficiency, patient care and infection control while fostering teamwork and improving communication between staff and physicians. (30%) • Serve as a working liaison between administration and physicians. (10%)
Education :
• Doctorate Degree from an accredited medical school and completed accredited residency program and fellowship for specialist, or equivalent. Required

Licenses :
• MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques. • Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment. • Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care. • Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications. • Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills. • Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems. • Performs in a tactful and professional manner. • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Shift
Work Type PRN/Intermittent Salary $239,400.00 - $281,100.00 / yr (Pay range listed is for 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE). See Work Type for actual FTE)
