Network Engineer, Mid The Opportunity A well-designed network is essential to enabling mission success. Modern Department of War (DoW) missions depend on resilient, secure, and scalable enterprise networks capable of supporting users across data centers, campuses, tactical environments, and remote locations. As technology continues to evolve, organizations require engineers who can design, integrate, troubleshoot, and modernize complex network infrastructures.
As a Network Engineer on our team, you'll work alongside government and contractor engineers to deploy, integrate, and sustain enterprise network solutions supporting critical national security missions. You'll configure, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure while helping deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing communications for our clients.
You'll leverage your experience with enterprise routing, switching, network security, and systems integration to solve technical challenges, support modernization efforts, and contribute to the successful delivery of mission-critical capabilities.
Your work will directly support Department of Warfare (DoW) missions by delivering secure, resilient, and high-performing enterprise network capabilities. Every solution you help deploy strengthens mission readiness and enables our customers to adapt to evolving operational requirements.

You Have: • 3+ years of experience configuring, implementing, integrating, or troubleshooting network infrastructures
• Experience implementing and supporting networking technologies, including switching, VLANs, trunking, EtherChannel, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), routing, Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF), Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP), Access Control Lists (ACLs), Network Address Translation (NAT), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Label Distribution Protocol (LDP), Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS), Layer 3 VPNs (L3VPN), or enterprise networking technologies
• Experience with network security technologies, including firewalls, proxies, identity-based access control solutions, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA), IEEE 802.1X, or network access control technologies
• Experience developing technical artifacts, including network diagrams, implementation guides, configuration templates, standard operating procedures, or technical documentation
• Knowledge of DoW Enterprise or Tactical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) networks
• Ability to perform network integration, testing, troubleshooting, validation, or deployment activities within a cross-functional engineering environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, work independently or collaboratively, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• CompTIA Security+ certification and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
Nice If You Have: • Experience supporting Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES), Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), or other DoW enterprise networking environments
• Experience planning, implementing, or supporting Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) migrations and enterprise network modernization initiatives
• Experience developing network automation or deployment pipelines using Ansible, Python, or similar automation frameworks
• Experience configuring and supporting multi-vendor enterprise network environments, including Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or similar networking platforms
• Experience supporting enterprise network monitoring and management platforms such as SolarWinds
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or another Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
• Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
