MRI Technologist Assistant (Contingent)

Overview:

  Schedule : • Monday to Friday - 2 to 3 times a week. • 6 to 8 hour shifts. • Morning and evening availability.

  Assists radiologic technologists in preparing patients for procedures, positioning patients, and operating imaging equipment.   Job Description:

  Essential Functions: • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly. • Operates and maintains radiologic equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition. • Assists radiologic technologists in performing diagnostic imaging procedures. • Monitors patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort. • Maintains patient records and ensures that all necessary information is accurately documented. • Follows safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.

Education Requirement: • High School graduate or equivalent, required. • Current student ofan accredited Radiologic Technology Program, preferred.

Licensure Requirement: (not specified)

Certifications: CPR certification, required.

Skills: • Ability to learn new procedures,follow instructions, and establish professional rapport with patients, staff, and physicians. • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Experience: Three quarters of experience as a student radiographer, preferred.
