 Job Description Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Leader, the Maintenance Technician maintains molding equipment through preventive maintenance. They also perform corrective repairs to improve equipment reliability and production uptime. This role supports manufacturing operations by fixing equipment issues, performing scheduled maintenance, and mentoring technical staff on effective repair and solving techniques. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with BD policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Flexibility to adjust work schedules to support critical maintenance activities and equipment availability is required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Maintain equipment by performing PM activities, ensuring activities are completed on-time and accomplished according to the plan. 2. Work closely with Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance tasks are well documented. 3. Conduct regular maintenance audits of equipment, identifying potential continuous improvement opportunities to improve PM program effectiveness. 4. Provide leadership for TPM activities as assigned. 5. Support the organization and preparation of spare parts and other applicable materials required to complete maintenance tasks for planned maintenance periods and equipment rebuild program. 6. Required to work during plant shut down periods to perform maintenance activities. 7. Provide support to the manufacturing unit technical teams as required to ensure optimal equipment performance. 8. Assist with technical development and training opportunities for unit technical staff on all shifts. 9. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Requirements: • High School Diploma/GED: Required

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience – Preferred Mechanical or other related technical field

• 3 years’ experience in automated molding production preferred

Skills & Experience • Experience fixing and repairing manufacturing equipment in a production environment. • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. • Working knowledge of machine design principles and equipment operation. • Basic understanding of electrical systems, controls, and industrial equipment. • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and computer-based maintenance systems. • Ability to prioritize work, make sound decisions, and work independently with limited supervision. • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting molding or automated manufacturing equipment. • Knowledge of quality systems and regulated manufacturing environments. • Experience coordinating maintenance activities, projects, or equipment improvements. • Familiarity with production planning and manufacturing processes.
