The Opportunity   We are seeking a Medical Science Program Manager for Abbott Vascular in our St. Paul, MN (New Brighton) site. This is an onsite role.

Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.

Job Summary The Medical Science Program Manager is a Medical Affairs professional responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic program execution, and growth across Medical Affairs functions. This role provides leadership and oversight for key Medical Affairs programs, including Medical Information, Medical Advisory Boards, and Investigator Sponsored Studies.

The Medical Science Program Manager serves as a subject matter expert in Medical Information and Medical Affairs processes while leading projects that improve team effectiveness, operational efficiency, and organizational knowledge sharing.  The role partners closely with

Medical Affairs Science Managers, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Compliance, Commercial, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure scientific information is communicated accurately, compliantly, and efficiently.

This position requires medical and scientific expertise (preferably Interventional Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, or Interventional Radiology), project management expertise, and the ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple functions and stakeholders.

What You’ll Work On: Medical Affairs Program Management • Lead and execute strategic and tactical US Medical Affairs projects from planning, through implementation, and completion. • Manage multiple high-priority initiatives while ensuring deliverables are completed within agreed timelines. • Represent Medical Affairs in cross-functional meetings, planning sessions, and business reviews. • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve Medical Affairs processes, systems, and procedures. • Creates and delivers Medical Affairs training and leads internal onboarding in collaboration with Medical Science Managers and Director. • Support Medical Affairs audits and quality initiatives. • Partner with Medical Affairs leadership to identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, team alignment, and knowledge sharing.

Medical Information • Serve as the organizational lead for Medical Information processes, standards, and best practices. • Evaluate, summarize, and communicate scientifically balanced information to inquiries regarding the Abbott Vascular product portfolio in a timely and compliant manner. • Identify and appropriately escalate high-risk or complex Medical Information inquiries to cross functional teams • Gather, synthesize, and document relevant Medical Information to support future reference and organizational knowledge-sharing. • Maintain the Medical Information database and compile quarterly data reports for leadership team. • Ensure all Medical Information activities comply with business policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS) Program Support • Partner with Medical Science Managers (MSMs) to support the planning, execution, tracking, and governance of the US Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS). • Coordinate operational activities related to ISS submissions, review processes, approvals, milestones, study documentation, and stakeholder communications. • Support compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ISS program procedures throughout the study lifecycle. • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders involved in ISS evaluations and study oversight. • Monitor ISS program metrics, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, providing quarterly status updates and reporting to Medical Affairs leadership. • Assist in maintaining ISS databases, tracking systems, study documentation repositories, and program records to ensure audit readiness. • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, transparency, and consistency within the ISS program.

Medical Advisory Board Program Management • Support Director and Medical Science Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of Medical Advisory Board programs. • Manage operational aspects of advisory board activities, including project timelines, stakeholder coordination, meeting logistics, documentation, communications, and tracking of deliverables. • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, and Commercial partners to ensure advisory board activities are conduc
